She gripped the hood that Itachi gave her when she felt cold and then walked with her hair hidden in the hood in order to not attract any unwanted attention. She sighed as she started walking and stopped when she heard a loud commotion.
Curious to see what was happening she changed her direction and followed the noise which was coming. She then saw a crowd surrounding a shop. Due to her short height and skinny body, she quickly appeared in front of the crowd and looked at the commotion.
She then saw a young boy with blonde hair and blue eyes. She immediately recognised him as 'Naruto Uzumaki' from her Academy who shared the same loneliness as her.
He was lying on the ground in front of a shop, she then saw the owner of the shop yelling at him as everyone around him glared at him as if he had committed a crime.
"But all I wanted were those goggles!" The blonde boy with whispered cheeks spoke as he slowly got up only to get pushed down again.
"You're a monster! Don't ever come to my shop again!"
The owner of the shop scoffed and then dusted himself as if he had been contaminated by the blue-eyed boy.
"Tch, who knows where he came from."
"He that guy! The monster!"
After that Naruto got up with tears in his eyes which he stubbornly held onto as he dashed out of the crowd disappearing from Sakura's sight.
As soon as he went away the crowd dispersed leaving Sakura alone.
The shop owner then looked at Sakura and bent down to her height, "Little Miss, do you want something?" He asked when he saw Sakura looking at his shop.
Sakura nodded shyly and the shop owner chuckled, "Well aren't you shy? What do you want? "
"T-That!" Sakura pointed to the green goggles that Naruto had wanted earlier, the owner of the shop then looked at what the little girl had pointed at and looked at the goggles, he took them out and Sakura paid for them with the money Kizashi had given her.
"Thank you," She bowed her head as she walked away and then walked towards the destination of her house.
She walked into the backyard and saw that no one was in the house. In relief, she sighed and then opened the window which she always kept unlocked and entered the house.
She then walked into her room took out a page and pencil and started writing a letter. After writing the letter she folded the piece of paper and stuck it inside the corner of the goggles and then walked out of the house the same way she entered.
She started walking in search of Naruto, she still had the hood which covered her beautiful pink hair and she looked around everywhere trying to find a glimpse of blonde hair and orange clothes.
The pinkette continued searching for him everywhere then she suddenly thought.
'The swing!'
With that thought, she dashed towards the direction of her academy as fast as she could, after all, she always saw Naruto sitting on the lone swing in front of the academy.
Due to her small size and baby steps, she arrived there after ten minutes and when she reached the destination she saw that there was no one apart from her and Naruto in that area.
Although Itachi taught her the 'Shunshin Jutsu' when they talked it would attract her unwanted attention if she were to do that in front of so many people.
She covered her hair with her hood as she slowly walked towards him, she then nervously glanced at him from time to time. She then took a deep breath and then tapped his shoulder to get his attention.
When the blonde-haired boy felt someone tap his shoulder he flinched thinking it was someone older who was going to tell him he was a monster and was going to hit him but much to his shock, he saw a hooded figure that was as tall as him.
"This is for you," Sakura gave the goggles to him and when Naruto instinctively reached it, she disappeared in a poof of smoke just as she was taught. Naruto was left in awe and then looked at the goggles he was gifted.
Sakura then was teleported to the back of the tree where Naruto couldn't see her as she leaned against the bark of the tree, she twirled her hair as she paid attention to Naruto not knowing a white figure peering at her from the darkness. She couldn't manage to do the Shunshin Jutsu on her first try.
He quickly wore the goggles on his forehead and he grinned to himself, it was the first time someone had gifted him something.
"Arigato, Yasashi-san!"
Sakura who was listening attentively to Naruto backed off the bark of the tree as she watched Naruto run off happily skipping as he yelled out his happiness.
Out of everyone's sight, she pulled out a genuine smile, her words so light they disappeared in the light breeze blowing around her.
"I'm glad, you liked it Naruto-san"
― Yasashi means kind-hearted, therefore he calls Sakura that since she kept her identity a secret.
