A week had passed since they went on a C Rank mission which turned out to be an A-Rank one.

They had defeated Zabuza and Haku, and both of them died. Although Sakura didn't care about them, she did respect them. Haku for his loyalty towards Zabuza where he didn't care about his life and saved Zabuza from Kakashi's Chidori.

As for Zabuza, after he told them about the graduation test in hidden mist, she understood him. He walked a lonely path where everyone viewed him as a monster for all the crimes he created not bothering to know what caused him to be like this.

The world was really a cruel place.

But now was not the time to be wondering about the world because currently, she was late for their team meeting.

She was so busy learning everything about Haku's Clan - The Yuki Clan - that she forgot about the time and went on reading everything about them.

"Huff," Sakura ran as quickly as possible, of course not at the real speed she could run but at the speed, 'Sakura Haruno' could run. While running she sensed someone moving her way but she couldn't avoid him.

So, she bumped into him.

"argh," She let out a painful gasp when she fell down and sprained her wrist. She looked to see who she bumped into and released who he was.

Konohamaru Saratobi.

How interesting.

"Are you alright?" She stood up and used her non-sprained hand to get up and put it in front of the little kid who bumped into her.

"Tch, I'm fine," He begrudgingly took the pinkette's hand and stood up, "Next time, watch where you're going," He glared at her.

"Thank you for caring about me," She bowed her head down to match his height as she gave him a small smile as she clenched her fist painfully tight.

"I'll be going now," She waved at him as she started walking away from him, she ignored his slightly shocked expression and moved on.

"I'm so sorry I'm late!" The pinkette called out loud as she waved one of her hands in the air, still running towards her two teammates who were standing at the team meeting destination

"I'm so sorry I'm late!" The pinkette called out loud as she waved one of her hands in the air, still running towards her two teammates who were standing at the team meeting destination.

She wondered how could she be so late, she mentally cursed herself for not properly keeping her guard and getting distracted by the information she found about the Yuki Clan.

"I apologize for being late," She started panting for breath as she put her hand on her knees as she rested. The small amount of running wouldn't exhaust her of course, but Sakura Haruno, a clanless child, would definitely be exhausted this quickly.

Someone, please give Sakura an Oscar.

"It's totally okay, Sakura!" Naruto assured the pinkette who looked at them with a guilty expression. Then his blue eyes took notice of the bruise on her wrist and slightly winced at the purple-blue bruise that covered her skin.

Of course, Sakura couldn't heal it, because not only was she late but if anyone saw her, a newly appointed genin, healing herself, it would be unusual.

"What happened to your hand?!" He jumped startling Sakura who was looking at him.

"It's nothing, I slipped and accidentally twisted my wrist," The pink-haired female let out a nervous laugh.

"Some ninja you are," Sasuke who had been quiet all the time scoffed at her response. Sakura kept quiet because she didn't care about his comment.

After all, she was better than him, he looked down at her unaware she was sitting on the throne as she looked down at him.

Never mind, Sakura doesn't need Oscar, Oscar needs Sakura.

"Hello, everybody. Good morning." Kakashi appeared out of thin air and greeted them.

"You're late!" Naruto pointed towards the grey-haired jounin who stood in front of the three genins.

"Anyways sensei," Naruto started, "Lately Squad 7 has been doing easy missions when will we be getting another cool mission where I get to go all out and defeat some villains?!" Naruto clenched his fists in excitement.

Sakura sweatdropped as she stood beside Sasuke.

"Today, I'm not here to take you on a mission," Kakashi announced which caused Naruto's mood to dampen and Sasuke finally paid attention to his sensei.

"Then why did you call us here?" The raven-haired male asked, hands in his pockets.

"Well, I'm here to inform you that I have nominated you for the chunin exams." He said as he took out three papers.

"What's a chunin exam?" Naruto asked stupidly.

"Chunin exams are for genins, just as we graduated from academy student to a genin, we will have this exam to see if we are fit to be promoted to a chunin," Sakura explained.

"So, does that mean we get to go on cool missions?" Naruto looked at Sakura, his gaze filled with hope and excitement.

"Well yes-" The pinkette stepped back a little as she was overwhelmed by the blonde only to get cut off by him.

"Then I'm going to be a chunin, dattebayo!" He yelled out loud.

Sakura looked at Kakashi who soon began explaining more about the chunin exams and gave them the submission forms.

Looking at the submission form in her hand, she started walking towards her house.

'Cool missions? More like risking your life for the village who won't appreciate you at all,'
