11 | surround me, suffocate me

Yesterday, due to Iruka's kind help Ami not only got expelled from the academy but her father also got caught in the crime of bribery along with his wife, while Ami was sent to their relatives in another small town outside the village.

But since they were but civilians her 'father' and 'mother', they only had to be put in prison for a year.

Sakura could finally breathe peacefully and she started her plan to be strong, since she would be the only one living in the Haruno Household, it meant she could practice her abilities without caring for someone from her 'family' seeing her.

She was so happy with the fact that the plan of her expelling Ami was not only successful but she also got luck on her side which made her benefit from the fact that she was the only one from the Haruno family to live peacefully.

And by the time they came out as they realised, she would already be a genin, an adult [according to the ninja rules], she could then live her life freely in the village, but would she?

Fortunately for her, the news of this was kept a secret since the Hokage thought that if this was made public Sakura would face many difficulties in her life.

Since yesterday, the taijutsu test was already conducted, the rest of the week would be full of revisions for the next test which was supposed to be the written test that would be conducted the next. 

She had this strange ability of photographic memory which made it easier for her to ace the test.

And now that there wouldn't be any obstacles in the path of her goal, she could confidently write the test and get the best grades, she wasn't lying when she said that she had a photographic memory.

Like every day, she walked out of her house where she lived alone now, and then went to the Yamanaka clan to meet up with Ino, only to find the said blonde was outside the clan waiting for her.

"Ino!"

"Sakura!"

"You're here early," Sakura spoke in surprise.

Ino just shrugged her shoulders, "Well, I wanted you to meet with the other girls in our class," Ino responded.

With that, they both strolled towards the academy while conversing. Soon, they arrived at the Academy and the day commenced. Since they would be graduating soon, the time spent in the academy was shortened while Sakura wanted to go home and train Ino and dragged her to meet some girls from the academy.

They all introduced themselves to each other as they started babbling like no tomorrow. While Sakura smiled on the outside as she remained polite, on the inside she scowled when she heard them talk about useless things.

"Hey Sakura, do you like Sasuke-Kun?" A girl asked her.

Sakura wondered what she should answer, so instead of answering she questioned them.

"Are you talking about the guy with duck- I mean b-beautiful raven hair?" She mentally reprimanded herself, she needed to control her emotions properly dammit.

"Well, I think he's worthy," Sakura answered with full honesty but unlike the others who were fangirling over him, she was thinking about his ninja abilities after all she witnessed the fight between him and Naruto.

Ino smiled at her while narrowing her eyes at Sakura who was too busy in her thoughts, Ino exclaimed happily, "I know right, Sasuke-Kun is amazing!"

Then they all began chatting more about Sasuke how amazing her was, how good-looking he was and how strong he was. The rest of the girls being his typical fangirls talked about him.

While Sakura who was with them felt left out after all she had no time wasting her energy on a guy who would rather kill her than help her. She sighed regretfully for accepting Ino's decision to make her join them.

Speaking of Ino, she looked at her blonde-haired friend and saw her talking to the other girls as if she was interested, it looked as if she was purposely ignoring her and cornering out of the group.

Sakura bit her lips softly thinking about it more, she thought that Ino was too childish, probably jealously as she talked about Sasuke.

However she decided to give Ino another chance, and whether she would remain as her friend who would protect her by all means or if would Sakura wear a mask while stabbing her back, it all depended on Ino, whether she took the chance or not.

At the end of the day, she sits with a group of girls, surrounded by them yet so alone. She felt that she wasn't necessarily sad, but felt empty.

Just empty.
