Klaus Pushed Me Away

"I think my room is bigger than yours and Stefan's."

"Is that so?" Katherine asked Caroline.

"Yes, actually you can come and stay with me, if you want."

"Wouldn't that be too crowded?"

"No, why would it be?" Caroline asked pretending not to know what she meant..

"Well, Klaus is staying with you. Were would I sleep? I wouldn't want to be involved in a threesome."

"Katherine!" Caroline squealed in frustration.

"Sweet innocent Caroline, did you think even for a second that you could fool me?"

"Who said I wanted to?" She said in a sly tone.

"Don't play dumb with me. You may be blonde, but you're not that blonde." She said humorously.

"If that's a nice way to call me stupid, it's lame."

"Whatever you say, blondie. Now, tell me what really happened."

"Nothing." Katherine stars at Caroline waiting for her to fess up.

"It's just Klaus." She finally exclaims.

"Of course, it is." Katherine sighs out of plain boredom.

"He pushed me away."

"Can you just tell me the facts and let me come to my own conclusions?"

"We were at our room and he kissed me. I kissed him back. Things sort of escalated quickly. Out of nowhere he moved away, saying how he doesn't deserve me or something like that. But I know what he really wanted to say and didn't."

"And what is that, Miss Know-It-All?" Katherine mocked her.

"He is simply over me. I'm not longer a challenge to him. He knows I like him, so he doesn't have any interest in me anymore."

"Caroline, you couldn't be farther away from the truth. I'm sure, none of what you assumed is true."

"Ugh, Katherine, you don't get it." Caroline let out a breath in frustration.

"Right, what is there to get? That you're so insecure, that once someone showed some real interest in you, you make excuses, as not to be with him."

"Did you even listen to anything I said? He is the one that pushed me away."

"And what do you do? Leave him be. Instead of talking to him, you're here bitching about it to me, of all people."

"You are such a bitch, you know it?" She shot back at her, infuriated with her harsh words. All she needed was a friend to listen to her and underdtand her.

"Right, so why are you still here? As much as I hate to admit this, Klaus needs you right now, so be there for him. That's all I have to say. Now, leave." She basically kicked her out, shuting the door on her face.

Caroline felt flames coming out of her ears and she turned on her heel, heading to the hotel bar. Lord knows, she could use a drink right now.

Caroline made her way on the first floor of the luxurious hotel, where the hotel bar was located at. When she decided to have a couple of drinks by herself to forget everything that's been said between her and Katherine, she certainly didn't think she would have the bad luck to run into Klaus, who was drowning his feelings in booze.

Knowing she couldn't just turn her back on him, mainly because Klaus has already seen her, she chose to address him and talk to him. Find out why he said everything he told her.
