Chapter 9 [Trapped]

Walang makakapantay sa ingay ng matinding kabog ng aking dibdib sa ngayon. Maging ang aking utak at puso'y nagwawala na sa loob ng aking katawan, animo'y gustong kumawala sa kinalalagyan nito.

It was the kiss. The elevator kiss that is making me insane and driving me crazy. It wasn't supposed to happen. Hindi dapat iyon maaari. But he kissed me. Leviticus kissed me! What does that mean?

"You need anything? Coffee, tea, juice?" hindi ko napansin ang babaeng bob-cut ang buhok ang lumapit sa akin.

I bet she's the secretary.

"Uhmm, I-I'm fine. Thank you." tugon ko upang hindi na ito mag-abala pa.

I noticed Legend gazed on my direction and called the secretary's attention.

"Get him a drink and something to eat, Liz.." he ordered then looked at me.

Balak ko pa sanang pigilan ang babaeng sekretarya ngunit nawala na ito sa paningin ko.

Oddly, I am sitting on the CEO's desk while watching Leviticus and Legend talk about business on the meeting area. There is a snake plant on the left side beside the outdoor view. Malaki ang espasyo ng opisina. Above the desk is a golden nameplate of the CEO, Leviticus Amedeo Torralba at sa ibaba ay nakasulat ang Torralba Builders, Inc.

Bumalik ang sekretarya at saka ako nito nginitian. She placed a cup of coffee and a piece of bagle in front of me.

"Thanks."

Tinitigan ko lang iyong pagkain. I can hear Legend, Levi, and other two guys discussing about something important. I'm not even sure why did they ask me to come here. But I'm thinking Legend's into something that he's not telling me.

Ilang minuto ang lumipas ay umalis na ang dalawang lalaki. Ang isa'y napatingin pa sa aking gawi. Naiwan ang magkapatid na parehong nakaupo sa couch. Hindi ko magawang titigan ng matagal si Leviticus, because looking at him just bring back memories.

Memories in that damn elevator!

Saglit na lumapit sa akin si Legend upang kumustahin ako.

"Later, I'll have Liz tour you around so you won't get bored. We'll be in another batch of meeting, Riley. Ayos ka lang ba rito?" ininom ko ang aking kape saka siya tiningala.

Legend is tall, so as his older brother. And Legend is naturally charming, he looks like a baby. Leviticus on the other hand, looks like a daddy. Oh, scratch that! Why would I even bother thinking about it?

"I'm good. But...uhmm.." lumingon ako sa gawi ni Leviticus na nakaupo pa rin sa hindi kalayuang couch at may kausap sa telepono.

I cleared my throat before saying something.

"Can you tell me the real reason why you brought me here? I mean, I really appreciate this visit but I don't think that's the only reason, S-Sir.." nahiya pa akong tingnan siya ng matagal ngunit ngiti lang ang nabasa ko sa mukha niya.

Mas lumapit siya sa aking kinauupuan at saka itinukod ang kanyang dalawang kamay sa desk. His eyes and his curly hair made him look so innocent.

"You can just call me Legend, Riley."

I was mesmerized a bit looking at his eyes. Of course, he and his brother share the same DNA and maybe that's the reason why I am feeling this way. They are both sending chills down my spine and not everybody's capable of doing that.

"It would be inappropriate." tugon ko bilang hindi pagsang-ayon sa kanya.

"You're calling my brother on his first name, so how am I different with him?" he blinked consecutively and flashed his million dollar smile.
