My mind has been off to somewhere else while I was reviewing the papers Andrei gave me after lunch. I've been bothered by Leviticus' jealousy and what kind of approach I'm gonna give him once I get home. First time he got jealous, I gave him words of certainty. But this time, I know it won't work. He needs something other than that.
I heard some knocks on the door. Andrei looked at me but then he stood up to open the door.
Zanro and other project managers came inside my office.
"Yes? Can I help you?" pinagsalikop ko ang aking mga kamay, pansamantalang isinantabi ang ni-ri-review kong papeles.
Zanro and each of the other project managers put a folder on top of my desk. Their faces are impassive so it gave me an idea that something's going on. A total of five thick folders, I checked each one.
"We think there's an incorrect information in the custom orders." bigkas ni Zanro bilang tagapagsalita ng kanilang grupo.
I carefully reviewed the first folder. Some lists are highlighted in red marker. But I can't point out the wrong information, though.
And some materials are artificial and have low qualities.." aniya na ikinakunot ng aking noo.
Zanro crossed his arms and frowned even more.
"If you're gonna take a look at our project specifications, Mr. Graciano. So you could also know whose responsibility it is."
Ginawa ko ang suhestiyon niya. I compared the projects specifications and the the copy of custom order the contractor placed with the suppliers. Doon ko nalamang may mga pagkakaiba nga. Still, those were the same materials but the ordered ones were low cost.
"I-I think the custom order was finalized two days ago." ani Andrei na nakamasid sa akin at sa iba pang nasa loob ng opisina.
Two days ago?
"I didn't sign this." iyon ang nahulma kong kongklusyon mula sa sinabi ni Andrei. Two days ago I was still at the hospital.
It was signed by Rocco Graciano.
But since the supplies were already delivered, I can't do anything about it. Now I have to fix it even though it wasn't my fault.
"I can reorder exactly what you want, but this will definitely push your completion date. You can also either accept the delivered products with its mistake, averting delays. But that might require modification on-site or... an aesthetic compromise, Zanro.." tugon ko dahil iyon ang tanging solusyon na naiisip ko.
Zanro shook his head as that's the only solution I can provide him, he can settle to that or he can stop the project, it's also up to him.
When I thought that it was just one problem, I realized there were more.
There were unforeseen conditions at the construction. I looked at the pictures the senior project manager showed me. There were termite damages on some of the materials and dry rots. But this is neither the fault of the manufacturer nor the contractor since this was unforeseen, so I still have to set aside funds to cover unexpected costs.
