Shakira Joyce's Point of View
TATLONG araw na akong nagt-train dito sa kumpanya namin. Hindi ko na muli nakita si Mr. Dela Vega na mas mabuti para sa akin. Pero sadyang mapaglaro ang panahon. Dahil speaking of the devil, pumasok siya ng Opisina ko at dumiretso ng upo sa sofa.
"Excuse Mr. Dela Vega, hindi ito ang opisina ni Daddy." Sinabi ko sa kanya iyon ng may sarkastikong ngiti.
"Oh! Hindi ba dito iyon?" Sagot niya niya na parang nangaasar.
"Yes. And you may take your leave."
"Is that how you treat your clients, Shakira?" Tanong sa akin ni Mr. Dela Vega.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. But you are not still my client. You're my father's. Last time I checked, this is my office."
"But I'm not looking for your father, by the way. I went here because of you."
"What do you want from me?" I straightly asked him.
"I want nothing from you. I just really like to annoy you. It's fun."
"Sorry to burst your bubble, Mr. Dela Vega. But I am not a clown, and I'm not an entertainer." I told him with the tone of as-the-matter-of-fact.
Hindi man lang niya pinansin ang sinabi ko dahil humiga siya sa sofa dito sa aking opisina na tila ba kama niya 'yon.
"This is not your bedroom, Mr. Dela Vega." Nagtitimping sabi ko sa lalaking prenteng nakahiga sa aking sofa.
"Mr. Dela Vega is very formal, call me Nate or Justine or whatever you want."
"Why would I call you that? You're a client if this company, and me as a part of this company, I should be formal towards to you. That would be a total disrespect when I call you by your name."
"So this is how you 'respect' a client of this company? Tinatarayan mo?" Nangaasar na sabi ni Mr. Dela Vega.
"Oh! Hindi ho kita tinatarayan, Mr. Nate Justine Dela Vega. I'm just telling you that my office is not your house living room that you can just lay down in the sofa." I said that with a smile on my lips.
"You smiled but your eyes are still cold. Why is that?" Sabi niya na tila bang may binubuong puzzle piece.
Inirapan ko na lang siya tsaka tinawagan si Lisa. "Lisa, Mr. Dela Vega is here in my office. Please escort him to my Dad."
"Miss Rodriguez, your father just said that you should handle the deal with Mr. Dela Vega because he will be in Singapore for an urgent business meeting. He also said that he will take your Mom to the meeting, he will probably stay there for 1 month. He stated that, you wilk handle the company for the mean time, and I will guide you." Mahabang pahayag ni Lisa sa akin.
"What? Bakit ngayon mo lang ito sinabi?" Mahinahong tanong ko kay Lisa.
"Miss Rodriguez, kakareceive ko lang po nitong email sa akin ni Mr. Rodriguez at tatawagan ko na po sana kayo kaso naunahan mo po ako. Should I bring refreshments for Mr. Dela Vega?"
