The weeks between my last call with Michael and when he sent me the plane tickets, seemed to go by in slow and agonizing pain.

My days where long yet eventful.

My morning where spent driving to school. Where I had almost gotten into an accident the other day because some shit decided that she was going to stop merging right at the last second and thank god I have good breaks or otherwise I would have been screwed. Because Florida law states that the driver behind is responsible. Like what bullshit is that?

My afternoon was spent in school. Lecture after lecture. Test after test. Paper after paper. I loved what I was study, but how was I supposed to concentrate knowing that in a few days I would be spending a month with my boyfriend in a place I had never been before.

My nights. Oh my nights where the most eventful of the day. That's when my parents met with the lawyer. After a week of being separated they decided- well mom- decided she wanted a divorce. I knew Lauren was heart broken and she was upset and crying all the time.

She slept in my room almost ever night since that fight. I didn't mind. I hadn't been this close to my sister in a matter of months. I missed her, I didn't realize how much she was like me.

About 3 days ago I pulled mom aside when I had an afternoon off and told her about Michael's plan for Lauren and I to go to Australia for a bit while she worked things out. At first I thought she was totally okay with it. She helped me finish organizing the trip and she finished the plan with getting Lauren back home, she was going to fly home by herself- she wanted too, I guess it made her feel older.

Yesterday evening Lauren and I were home when mom came in the door pulling in tow her new boyfriend. It had literally been 3 weeks since the fight with dad and him leaving and she already had a boyfriend. He looked like some drunk country hick, I think his name was Joey but honestly Lauren and I didn't even bother to learn it because we knew he wouldn't be around long.

This is how she was last time she thought dad was cheating. She hopped on any guy and dad let her even though he didn't cheat that time. She would spend her nights partying and her days sleeping and dad would take care of Lauren and I, but by then I learned to be pretty self sufficient.

Today was the day we where finally leaving for Australia. We were flying into Sydney and staying there for a few days with the guys and their families because that's where the last show of the tour was and we would be there about 3 days before so Lauren will finally get to see them play.

We had to leave very early in the morning. I woke Lauren up around 3, even though she went to bed around 1. I told her to go to sleep earlier.

"Come on we have to go Lexi is coming to drive us." I whispered shaking her arm a bit.

"No. sleep." She swatted at me.

"You can sleep on the plane."

She finally got up 20 minutes later when Lexi got here. We packed our things in the car and left. The airport was dead except for a few people. I said my thank you and goodbye to Lexi and we checked in our bags and got on the plane.

"How long is the flight?" Lauren asked me as she took her seat next to me. The plane was almost completely empty except for a few people. We had a one way ticket all the way there.

"Almost 24 hours."

"What?" she yelled "a day."

"I said almost." She just glared at me. She brought her laptop and a shit ton of movies and games. Michael had gotten us the first class seating which had nice seats that where spread out and had plugs and tables.
