Living with Dallon was a dream. He was driving me and his sister to the field Dallon and I fell in love in. It was weird to be back there and to have his sister with us. I didn't mind though. I'd always wanted a little sister. The ride to the field was fun. It consisted of Al and I playing 20 questions, while Dallon sang softly to the playlist he had playing. It was a playlist that Dallon had made with all of the songs that reminded him of me. It was called Sunflowers.

By the time we'd gotten to the field, it was almost sunset. We were planning on going before lunch, but Mr. Weekes and I wanted to paint the treehouse before the sun went down, so we decided to go to the field after that was done. Al said she didn't mind and that seeing the sunset would be just as cool as long as Dallon wasn't an idiot and missed it. She really gave him a hard time, but I could tell that she adored him. I adored him too.

Al brought a frisbee, so I played that with her for a while as Dallon sat on the blanket he packed and watched us. He had a book with him, but he never turned the page. It was like a prop to make him seem uninterested in our game. "Hey, D, do you want to play," I shouted from a bit away as Allison went back to the car to grab a ball. Dallon shook his head and motioned for me to come over by him. I walked over to him and leaned down so I could hear what he wanted.

He beckoned me closer, and I gasped as he pulled me down and I fell into his lap. "Dall, w-what are you doing," I laughed. "I wanted to hold you before you turn all of your attention back to my sister," he smirked. I pushed him backwards so he was laying partly in the grass. "I'm going to go back to my frisbee game, Mr. Jealous. You're welcome to join me," I said going to get up, but he had other plans. Dallon pulled me on top of him and hugged me close to his chest. "Brendon, you're not getting up," he tried to hold back his laughter. "Dall, l-let me go," I giggled hitting his chest lightly.

Dallon grinned at this and rolled us off the blanket so he was on top of me. "Ugh you're crushing me. Dall, I sw-swear," I grunted jokingly. He laughed and put his arms on either side of my head so he was hovering over me. "You're being w-weird," I told him, ignoring the blush covering my face as he poked the tip of my nose with his tongue. "Hmm would it be weird if I did this," he asked moving one hand to tip up my chin and turn my head to the side. "What are you-" I started but was cut off by Dallon leaving soft kisses down my neck. "I wish you were wearing one of my shirts so I could kiss your collarbones too," he whispered. I shivered at the thought. I let my hands find their way to the back of his head as I let out a stuttered sigh.

"Ew, Dallon get off of him," Allison whined as she came over to the blanket to get her water bottle. "Shut up," Dall mumbled and continued to kiss me, but I quickly pushed him away, my cheeks turning a deep crimson. "Sorry, A-Allison," I spoke quietly as I sat up. "It's chill, Dummy was the one being gross," she said. "This is why I didn't want to take you anywhere," Dallon groaned as he flopped back onto the ground. I gave him a look to try and get him to stop, but he only rolled his eyes at me. "It's not my fault that you're being gross," she countered. Dallon grabbed a handful of grass and threw it at her. "Ugh Dallon, you're so fucking annoying," she shouted, getting up to walk away and pick grass out of her hair. "Great job, D. I'm going to g-go help h-h-her," I sighed.

Al turned away as I approached her. "Hey, I c-came to help get that out-out of your hair," I explained. She turned towards me and I saw how upset she looked. "Y-y'know, Dallon doesn't m-mean to be l-like that. He loves you, I-I can see it. He's j-just being w-weird today" I said, trying to comfort her. "It's just that he never wants to spend time with me. I want to be able to play with my big brother, but you act more like my brother than he does," she told me through teary eyes as I got the grass out of her hair. "I'm sorry. I know th-that it's probably worse that s-someone who's not even in your f-f-family is getting more attention from him," I spoke quietly, feeling incredibly guilty about coming between Allison and her brother. "You are a part of our family. Dallon is just being a dumbass. Maybe I'll talk to him about it," she said. I felt a face-splitting smile grow on my face at that. I was a part of their family. "He's stupid s-sometimes," I said as she reached forward and hugged me. I leaned into her warmth. "I'm going to go s-set up the pillows. You finish getting the grass off of your shirt and take a deep breath," I told her after she stepped back, and then I jogged off to Dallon.

"How's the brat," Dallon asked from his place still lying on the ground. "You need to be n-nicer to her," I told Dallon, causing him to sit up. "What?" I nodded my head. "I'd kill to h-have nice p-p-parents and a fun lit-tle sister. You've got b-both. She's really upset because she thinks you d-don't like her. If you want, we can talk about why y-you're being weird l-later, but please be nice to your s-sister," I offered. Dallon looked at me and sighed. "She's annoying," he groaned. "Please, Dallon? For m-me," I asked. He nodded and sighed, leaning over to kiss my cheek. "I love you, but you're getting a little bossy," he teased. I lightly hit his arm and rested my head on his shoulder.

Allison walked back over and sat down next to me without a word. I nudged Dallon. "Hey, Al. I'm sorry for being fucking annoying and for being a dummy. I didn't mean to upset you. I was just playing around," he said. Allison looked at me, and I gave her a small smile. "It's okay, but you need to sleep in the treehouse with me tomorrow to make up for it. Brendon has to come too," she said with a smirk. Dallon nodded, and I moved so the two of them could hug it out.

The three of us sat on the blanket and watched the sunset. Dallon was in the middle with his sister on his left, sitting close to him, and with me on his right, leaning my head on his shoulder. I couldn't help but think back to what Al had said, "you are a part of our family." It made my heart beat with pride in my chest. I was a part of a family, and it felt like bliss.
