"I'm sorry that I freaked out." Dallon was holding me close to his chest. "It's okay, Bren. Are you alright with me going downstairs to grab the air mattress and order the pizza," Dallon asked. I shrugged, secretly not wanting to be alone. "Brendon, you can tell me if you want me to stay. I can ask my mom to order for us." He raised an eyebrow at me as I closed my eyes against him. I didn't want to be a problem.

"Ca-an you stay," I asked quietly, not wanting to ruin the comfort that he was giving me by grabbing the notepad. He looked surprised that I didn't use the notepad. "Yeah, hun, I can stay. Let me just text my mom what to order. What kind of pizza do you want?" He pulled me closer. "I don't know. Whatever you w-want is okay. I just want t-to sleep," I sniffled slightly. "Do you want to get pizza another time," he said softly. I nodded. "Alright, I'll ask my mom for the air mattress."

I saw Dallon texting with his mom. She seemed like a very understanding mother. I'm not sure why I freaked out about her talking to me.

Dallon: Would you mind bringing up the air mattress and some oreos?

Mom: Dall, just because you have a friend over doesn't mean that I have to do everything for you

Dallon: I understand that, but he needs me to stay up here. I'll make it up to you after he leaves. I just need to be here for him right now

Mom: Fine

Dallon: Thank you so much

"I'm sorry," I told him. He rubbed his hand in circles on my back. "There's no reason for you to be sorry, Brendon." I shrugged and closed my eyes again, only to hear Dallon's phone ding.

Mom: You guys will have to share your bed. The air mattress popped when your cousins were here

Dallon: Fuck

Mom: Dallon

Dallon: Sorry

"Hey, I uh- I don't know how to say this, Bren, but uh my mom says that the air mattress was popped when my cousins were here. We're going to have to uh share a bed." I looked up at him. I wanted to make a joke about him being nervous, but I could see that he really was. "I can go home if you um w-want me to," I whispered, feeling like I was going to cry because of the anticipation. "No, are you kidding? I love that you're here. I just don't want you to be uncomfortable," he sighed.

"It'll be fine. I-I mean I'm literally laying on top of you r-right now, so I'm sure that um everything will be okay," I laughed a bit. I was a bit nervous to sleep in the same bed as him, but I trusted him to make everything okay. I also knew that he wouldn't try anything with me. "That's true, goofball. Also, I just want to say how much I love hearing you talk." He moved slightly and took off his shirt. "I usually sleep without my shirt on, but I can put it back on if if bothers you," he offered. I shrugged and smiled, resituating myself on Dallon's chest as he laid down on his pillows. "You're really c-c-c-comfortable," I laughed. "Yeah?" I nodded. "Are you giggling," he chuckled. I shook my head, continuing to giggle as he pulled his comforter over us.

"You are, oh my god. Okay, you're giggling," Dallon grinned, looking down at me. I buried my face into his shirt. "I can't believe that Precious Brendon and Goofy Brendon have made a real life appearance," he joked. "Sleepy Brendon is also here," I yawned. "No, Sleepy Brendon is the same as Preci-" I cut him off by snuggling further into his side. "Nevermind." I smiled and closed my eyes, listening to the soft thumping of his heartbeat.

I wasn't sleeping. My eyes were just shut. I heard Dallon's door open a few minutes later. "Hey, D. Is your friend okay," I heard his mom ask. "Yeah, he's just tired," Dallon said. "Why is he sleeping on top of you?" I suddenly realized how weird this must look. "He just fell asleep," he tried to push off the question. "I can see that, Dallon. Why is he on your chest?" He put his hand on my hip and rubbed patterns through the fabric that was covering my skin. "I don't know. I just- he was so tired, Ma. I-I really want him to like me, y'know? He's also too precious to push off of me. Like, I mean, look at him," Dallon told her. I moved a bit to snuggle closer to Dallon because my neck was beginning to hurt. Dallon's mom clicked her tongue. "He really is adorable," she chuckled. "I know, Ma. Could you maybe turn the lights off? I don't want them to bother him," he asked. "Sure, hun. Do you still want to Oreos?" I could feel him shake his head.

"Alright, Dallon. Text me if either of you need anything," she said as she flipped of the lights and left the room. "God, what would I do without someone like you in my life," Dallon whispered, pressing a soft kiss to my temple.

That was when I realized how much I truly liked Dallon. He was always on my mind and my only motivation to do anything anymore, not that I'd had much before.

When we first met, I payed attention to his tone of voice, in fear of it being rude or mocking. Now, I pay attention to his sharp jawline and the way the sun hits his flawless skin. He probably didn't realize that he was making me feel this way, but I couldn't help myself.

I couldn't help that I was falling in love with him.
