Here's a 4 AM update
-At the hospital-
"I can walk, Reece"
"Nope, you're bleeding."
"You barely know me, why did you help me?"
"Knew you or not, no human being deserved to be treated like you've been treated by those assholes." He said as he walked confidently into the hospital, gaining weird looks from some people there.
"Hey, Mrs White, do you see my mum?"
"She's in her break, so she probably in her room"
"Thank you, Mrs. White"
"No problem, My dear officer"
"You know her?"
"Yeah, she's a nice woman," He said, carrying me like it's no biggie.
He pushed a white door open with his elbow and a woman in her late 30 looked up from her thick glasses.
"Reece?"
"Hey mum, can you give him a full check-up? He's been through a hellish experience"
"Lay him down, dear. I'll grab my things. Lydia, can you grab the essential?" She ordered to (I assumed) her assistant.
"What's your name, sweetheart?"
"George."
"I need your full name, dear"
"George Steffen Gresley Smith."
"Alright, your date of birth please"
"9th March 1999" She mumbled a small thank you, before turning her attention to her son.
"Can you leave the room for a minute? It's for his privacy"
"Sure. I need to fill in some file anyway. Thanks, mum." Reece said. He flashed me an encouraging smile before disappearing behind the door.
"Here's what we gotta do..."
After a long-ass of checks-up, I was told to stay overnight for further checks in the next morning. I have no idea whose money I'm gonna use for this whole check-up and shits, all I know is Reece never leave me.
He sat on the couch at the corner of my room, reading a book called Mr Mercedes. Round framed glasses sat on the bridge of his nose while his eyes scanning the words in the book.
"You were supposed to sleep," His northern voice said.
"I know, but I couldn't" He looked up from his book, analysing me silently.
"If you wonder if I'm hurt or not, I'm totally fine, so you can go back to your book or your file, whatever you prefer."
"No, I didn't think about that"
"So?"
"Nothing, let's get to know each other" He stood up from the comfortable couch to the plastic chair beside my bed.
"You can just sit over there, you know"
"I know, but do you mind?" He asked, motioning to our close proximity. I shook my head at him which earned a cute little smile from him.
"I'll start with basic life info. My name's Reece Jamie Bibby, I'm 21 but gonna be 22 in 13th August. I'm the first child and I had a sister named Lexi. My mum is a doctor while my dad is a music teacher and I'm a police, the head department if I may add."
"My name's George Steffen Gresley Smith, I'm 21. I'm an only child. My mum is a football coach while my dad is a train maker and I'm still in college."
"Cool! What's your favourite band?"
"Probably 'The Beatles'. But I also love Catfish and the bottlemen. What about you?"
"The same as yours. What's your favourite movie?"
"Definitely Star Wars. I even bought a light sabre last year"
"Star wars is alright, but I prefer Harry Potter, sorry" Reece answered, smirking proudly at my shocked and fake-offended expression. We continued to ask each other questions like that until eventually Reece is tired and I started to get sleepy. He read me some of Mr Mercedes before I finally drove off to dreamland.
"George! George, wake up! C'mon, Georgeee..."
"I'm up, I'm up. What's up?"
"You have an internal check-up and surgery. My mum's waiting"
"Right, sorry"
"Go take a shower first, I brought you some of my stuff"
"Thanks, Reece. But you don't have to"
"I want to, now shoo!" He said, shooing me away with a dimple popped on his cheek. Cute.
I did as tell, showering in record time before using the blue gown again. Reece led me to the check-up's room, giving me a reassuring smile before leaving me with his mum and Lydia.
"Good morning, George. How are you feeling?"
"Better now that I took a shower. I'm sorry to make you wait, Dr Bibby"
"Just call me Lyndsey. But yeah, let's start it now, we have to make sure everything's alright before the surgery."
I have a broken rib along with some kind of internal bleeding from all the beat up and sexual assault, so they need to fix it ASAP before it bothers the other organs. The check-up went pretty fast; not STD and no HIV. No more broken organs or malfunction organs, stable blood pressure, and other things else.
They escorted me to the surgery room and I passed Reece while been wheeled into the surgery room. I was still pretty drugged up from last night, so my nerves thankfully didn't kick in. The put me into unconsciousness and the last thing I remember is Reece dimply smile.
- A few hours later –
"You're awake" A voice startled me. I looked at my surrounding, noticing the now dirty grey walls along with some mossy wet patched.
"Where am I?"
"Do you think you can easily get away from me,doll?"
I hate to say this, but this story is kinda rush and barely makes sense.
