Just like always, I woke up the next morning with a hundred missed calls from Reece. I ignore everything and went straight to the voice mail, he left one like he always did.

Hi baby, *hiccup*
I'm sorry that I mess *hiccup* up again and ruin our date. It was *hiccup* supposed to be the best night of our life since *hiccup* I have a certain thing planned for the end of the night but like always, I have to *hiccup* be a fucked up and ruin everything. Mum was so mad that I mess everything up again *giggling* She told me to get to therapy so we *hiccup* can go back to normal again. I love you, baby. I always do and always will *hiccup* even though I have a funny way of showing it *hiccup* I still love you a lot, I hope you know that. This getting too *hiccup* long, I wish you would forgive me and my *hiccup* unfiltered mouth *giggling*. I'll see you soon, love. I love you, darling.

He was either drunk outta his mind or has been crying for hours. But knowing Reece, it seems like it was a good mixture of both. He always calls me in the morning to apologise and no matter what he did or said to me the previous night at our argument, every little lie still give me butterflies. He fights so dirty but his love is so, so sweet that it's lethal. He talks so pretty but his heart got teeth.

And it saddened me to see him changing this way, to the worse not to the good. But if he doesn't open up about it, no matter how hard I've tried, I wouldn't be able to help him. After all, you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped in the first place and with that being said, there's not a chance for us to go back to normal if we keep bottle everything inside instead of being honest to each other.

I sighed again for the probably thousand times these past few hours, dragging myself towards the bathroom to shower and look somewhat decent. I got out of the shower to my phone ringing loudly. I grabbed it from the nightstand, seeing Reece name popped up on my screen.

"George, dear, are you with Reece?"

"Oh hey, Lyndsey! And no, Reece's not with me currently, what's the matter?"

"Oh my god, I left him alone to get some rest not to ran away."

"He's gone?"

"He left his phone and car here and I thought he was sleeping like I told him to but I can't find him anywhere in the house."

"Oh god, I'll search around and find him. I'm sorry that he ran off like that, Lyndsey"

"I'll pick you up, we'll look around together"

"What about we split ways? You go uptown and I'll go downtown? We'll find him sooner that way I think"

"Alright then. You take care, sweetheart. Drive safely, okay?"

"Will do, Lynds. You too, okay?"

"Yeah, I'll call you again soon, sweetheart. Thanks for helping me"

"No problem, he's my boyfriend after all" My barely sober boyfriend, I want to add but I didn't.

"Alright then, see you soon, George"

"See you then, Lyndsey"

I put the phone down and quickly get dress. I grabbed my car keys and wallet along with my phone, shoving them into my pocket. I'm not really sure about his whereabouts but I have some guesses, let's just hope at least one of them is right.

But unfortunately, after checking every pubs and bar I've seen and driving around downtown for three hours and a half, I still see no trace of Reece. My phone rang again so I swiftly pulled over,

"Hello?"

"Do you find him? I can't find him anywhere up here and it's worrying me"

"I'm sorry, Lynds, but no... I haven't found him"

"Oh dear, where is that boy? I know I was a bit harsh last night but I don't think he'll run off like this"

"It's alright, Lyndsey. It's not your fault, we'll find him okay? He's probably just trying to calm himself down, I'll check our spot. Let's just hope he's there" I said, praying to all the lords up there that I'll find him at our place.

"Thank you so much, George. I'll try to look around furthermore"

"It's alright, Lynds"

I drove the car again, hoping and praying that he'll be there. That spot is my last hope, if he's not there, I don't know anymore. I passed the speed limit, breaking a few red lights, but no cops should know that. I parked the car randomly, knowing for sure no one would steal it since I'm basically in the middle of nowhere. I locked the car and ran into the woods, passing every tree with ease to our secret spot: the lake.

I looked around frantically, hoping to see any sign of Reece. But no, I found none. Not even on the moist surface. Damn, where's that boy?

Sooo
He ran away 🙃

I had a long debate with myself in this chapter, kinda confused if I want G to find Ree or nah, but I ended up thinking it's gonna be best if Reece is gone for a bit more 🤭
