Frankly, the date didn't go like I thought it would be. Reece actually being a real gentleman for the whole day, we laughed, we joked around, we argued over silly things that made us giggle like schoolgirls, and everything feels like our few first months together again. It was so nice to have him like this again, all sober and outgoing, honest and fun. I miss it so much since I can barely remember the last time we had a date like this.

"George? George!"

"Oh um, you call?"

"You zoned out there, love. What's wrong? Do you not enjoy the date?"

"No, no, no, it's not that, I promise! In fact, I love it a lot so far" I said, flashing him my big smile. He returned it before leaning down to kiss my lips softly.

"I'm sorry about last night," He said and I simply nodded my head.

"You're not mad anymore?"

"Just don't do it again"

"I can't promise you that, but we'll see" He kissed me again and this time I deepened the kiss. It feels a bit strange being this close with Reece all over again. We were always too busy arguing and shouting towards each other to actually have an intimate moment like this. He must sense me being off since he quickly pulled away with concern laced in his eyes.

"Are you sure you're alright? You seem a bit... off" He asked worriedly. I know I can't lie to him, we can read each other like an opened book, it's no use to lie so I just sighed heavily, leaning my head on his shoulder and start to fiddling his button.

"You know that you can talk to me, George. We're boyfriends, after all, that's just how relationship work"

"I'm just confused and... exhausted."

"Do you wanna go home and so you can rest? It's kinda late too now anyway"

"No, Reece. I'm not physically exhausted so I need a rest."

"Then?"

"Lots of things have been swimming around in my mind lately and it's messing me out."

"What are you trying to say, G?"

"It's just... I'm confused about you, about... about us. Like, some days you're the only thing I know, but sometimes you're a stranger in my bed. Like, one second you were on your knees begging me to stay and all but the next minute you push me away and ask me to leave. I don't even know if you love or you want me dead, moreover knowing if I'm gonna make it out alive." I stated off carefully. Reece kept his mouth shut, his finger carding my hair soothingly.

"Are you mad at me? Sorry for rambling non-sense"

"No, don't say that. You are making a perfect sense."

"Do you get what I mean then?" I asked, being extra careful this time.

"Yeah, 'm just thinking about it"

"Oh..."

"Why you've never told me this before?"

"I tried, but you know... we were either too busy yelling at each other or you were drunk most of the time" I felt Reece tensed up and his hand movement stopped quickly.

"So you're blaming this on me? Well, I'm sorry that I need some kind of release for my problem, maybe if you were actually there I wouldn't turn to alcohol"

"What? I was always there, 24/7 in the house worrying over your drunk ass. And you said I've never been there? It was you that always leaving me alone, not the other way around"

"So what now? Are you gonna break up with me? Just do it for all I care"

"Reece, you're talking no sense, I wouldn't break up with your over this. Why are you so worked up anyway?"

"Why am I so worked up? Well George, maybe if you weren't such an anti-social clingy freak that get too handy at so many times, I wouldn't get these stresses in the first place and we would obviously not in this mess"

"Are you for real blaming me now? I did nothing but taking care of you, I did nothing but love you with all I've had and now this is how you repay me? By calling me an anti-social clingy freak? Glad to know that, Reece."

"I'm done with this date, let's just go home," Reece said, quickly standing up and pack everything back into the basket. He didn't even spare me a glance as we walked back towards the car and the whole car ride was dead silent, thick tension lingers in the air but none of us bothers to say a thing. I sighed internally, focusing my gaze on the street outside.

He stopped in front of our driveway, making me look at him in confusion.

"I'm going to mum's. You go clean up and rest. I'll see you tomorrow" He said in monotone, eyes straight ahead not bothering tolook at me. I got out of the car with no words, hearing Reece mumbling a small'sweet dream' but I paid no mind to it. I walked up the porch and see him quickly drove away. I think it's gonna be one of those sleepless nights.
