Boyfriend

The news about our engagement is a trending topic on the country. Who could imagine? The wealthy De Leon is bound to marry a powerful Cervantes. With the merging of our companies, we will overpower every companies that are trying to go against us. That is not a brag, that is a fact. So, I am not shocked if some of the famous hoteliers in the country are now having a big problem.

Aiden's family business is mainly, hotels. They have hundreds of five-star hotels that are located in different parts of the country. Ngunit, hindi lang sila diyan nagmamanage, mayroon din silang resorts, clubhouse, and adventure parks.

Malaki ang sakop ng negosyo nila pero their main business was the hotel. Their other businesses are new. Pero si Aiden ang namamahala sa lahat ng ito.

While, our business has a lot of scopes, mayroon kaming real estate company which are Commercial, Residential, Land, and Industrial. For the commercial, we have malls and apartment buildings. For residential, we have condominiums, duplexes and vacation houses. Industrial, we have warehouses, and lastly, land, we have vacant lands na pinapaupa namin sa mga magsasaka.

Noon, ang business lang talaga namin ay ang recidential Real Estate pero napalago ito ng napalago kaya naman nadagdagan ang mga ito. This caused me a lot of pressure dahil napakarami ang aasikasuhin pero nakaya ko naman.

Kahit mas malaki ang business namin, mas mayaman sila Aiden sa amin since ang iba nilang hotel ay international na pero kami ay local pa lang. We are still planning to go in the international stage but that will take a lot of time and effort.

Bumuntong-hininga ako habang tinitignan ang sunog na cookies na nasa harapan ko. My babies, the were burned because of my carelessness. Dahil sa lalim ng pag iisip ko, hindi ko namalayan na nasusunog na pala ang cookies na binake ko. Sobrang sayang.

"What's with the frown--- oh, heck, that's a really bad cookie in there," Natatawang sabi ni Aiden habang tinitignan ang mga kawawang cookies na nasa tray. "You should concentrate, Kaitlyn, huwag mo akong iisipin kapag nagbebake ka."

Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay at inirapan. "Yabang."

Tumawa na lamang siya at niyakap ako mula sa likod. I din't know he was coming. Wala siyang sinabi.

"Why are you hugging me?" Pilit kong kinakalas ang yakap niya. "Stay away, you're not my boyfriend!"

Kumalas siya sa pagkayakap sa akin at hinarap ako. "I am your boyfriend, Kaitlyn. For Goodness' sake, we will get married pero hindi mo pa ako tinuturing na boyfriend? You're unbelievable, darling."

Tumango ako. "You didn't court me, so I don't have a boyfriend pa."

His face brightens and he grinned. "Then, I'm gonna start courting you now. Let's go, I need to give you something."

Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at bahagyang hinila patungo sa living room namin. Nandoon ang napakalaking box mula sa isang sikat bakery, now I know what that is....

Naglalaway na ako habang tinitignan ang ito... I smell cookies.

I grinned and opened the box, napakaraming cookies ang nandoon. I clapped my hands as I munched one cookie.

Tumabi si Aiden sa akin sa sofa at tumawa ng bahagya. "You really love cookies, do you?"

"Yes, but I love you more," Dahil sa saya ko ay nasabi ko iyon. Doon ko lang narealize ang sinabi ko. Nag iwas ako ng tingin. Namula ng sobra ang pisngi ko. Damn, filter your mouth, Kailtyn or you will be in trouble. Tumawa ako at pilit binawi ito. "Just kidding."

Tinignan ko si Aiden na ngayon ay nakaawang ang mga labi habang tinititigan ako. "Say that again, darling."

"Just kidding?"

"No, that one before that."

"Uhmm.. Wala naman akong sinabi ah!" Hinilig ko pa ang ulo ko at nag panggap na nagtataka.

"Sudden amnesia, darling? Okay, I will make you remember it," Tumawa siya, ginaya niya ang boses ko at sinabing, "Yes, but I love you more."

Pagkatapos non ay tinignan niya ako. Napakalapit ng mukha niya sa akin. "Do you remember it now?"

Umiwas ako ng tingin at hindi na nagsalita pa. That's embarrassing. Really.

Bukas na ang pasukan. Ready na ang mga gamit ko. My uniforms are also ready. Bale, ready na ako sa first day ko bilang isang college student. I am really excited and nervous at the same time. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang magiging buhay ko bilang college but I'm pretty sure I can handle it well. Sanay na ako sa pressure.

Naligo muna ako bago humiga sa kama ko. I need to wake up early tomorrow. Aiden will be here to pick me up kaya kailangan kong gumising ng maaga.

I really wonder why things turned out this way. I used to hate this arrange marriage, I used to hate Aiden, and I used to hate everything. But also, because of these, I learned how to love and to accept someone even with his flaws.

Right from the very first time, Aiden already cares for me. I would always ignore him but he would always come back. Nirereject ko siya palagi pero hindi pa din niya ako tinitigilan. Doon ko nakita na pursigido siyang makuha ang loob ko. That also assured me that he really do care for me, hindi dahil iyon ang gusto ng aking mga magulang, kundi iyon ang gusto niyang gawin para sa akin.

I was once cold and lonely pero nung dumating siya sa buhay ko ay nagbago ang mundo ko. He's all that I want. And I am willing to surrender myself to him.

I already love Aiden. And I can't do anything to stop this feeling. All I did was to pretend and deny this feeling but now, I am willing to show it to him and make him feel that I really do love him. It's now or never.

Hindi ako makatulog. I decided to take a sleeping pill para makatulog ako. When my phone beeped.

Unknown number:

Hey Kaitlyn! John here! You remember me? I'm Aiden's best friend. Nakuha ko number mo kay Aiden. Pwede ka ba sumama sa party bukas? After school?

Si John ang pinakamatalik na kaibigan ni Aiden. I met him at the engagement party. Siya ang isang miyembro sa circle of friends nila pero siya ang pinakaclose kay Aiden. Makulit siya at masayahin din.

His family's business is the rival of Aiden's business. Hindi ko alam kung bakit sila nagkaclose kung gayong kalaban ang kompanya nila. Well, if that was me, I will never trust a rival.

I replied.

Me:

Yes, of course. Kung sasama si Aiden, sasama din ako.

Ilang minuto lang ay nag reply na siya.

John:

Nice! Aiden will come kaya sama ka din! I will expect you to be there! Sa Hype Bar, 7:00 pm. See yah!

Me:

Yeah. See you.

I never experienced going to parties. And tomorrow would be my first time. And I wonder what it's like to have fun and socialize with other people. I hope it turns out well.

I am positive that it would turn out well, tho. Aiden is coming so I'm sure that I would enjoy.

I wonder, can I really go inside the bar? I am still a minor.

I texted John again.

Me:

You sure I can go inside the bar? I'm still a minor.

Nag reply agad siya.

John:

The owner is my friend, she will let you in. Relax, Kaitlyn, we got you.

And that made me feel assured. Okay. I'm so coming into that bar. I would try to mingle this time and make fun, afterall, as what Aiden said, that's what I deserve.
