Everyone is looking at me while walking on the aisle. I can't believe that this is actually happening. Namumuo ang luha sa mga mata ko. Now, it's different, I can freely walk on the aisle without turning my back or being afraid what might happened next.
Humigpit ang hawak ko sa bouquet ko habang tinitignan ang mga tao. Hindi gaanong engrande ang wedding. I was the one who planned everything. Tanging pamilya o kakilala lamang ang inimbita namin.
Some guests are smiling at me, other are wiping their tears. Alam nila ang nangyari noong nakaraang palpak na kasal namin ni Aiden.
My parents arrived yesterday, hindi ko inexpect na dadating sila. I thought, they would stay in U.S.
I looked at everyone. Ang mommy at daddy ni Aiden ay parehong emosyon habang nakatingin sa akin. Tinapunan ko nang tingin si Zenaida na sobrang laki ng ngisi. She's my Maid of Honor. After all, she was the one who was with me through my ups and downs. She never fails to be my friend.
Lumipat ang tingin ko kay Aiden. There he is, wiping the tears away from his eyes, he's emotional. Si John pa rin ang best man niya. Kahit na nagtaksil siya noon kay Aiden, he already learned his lesson. Nagsisi na siya sa ginawa niya.
Sinalubong ako ni Mommy at Daddy na parehong may tissue sa kamay.
"I am so happy for you, anak," Emosyonal na sabi ni Mommy. Niyakap kaming dalawa ni Daddy.
"Alagaan mo siya, Aiden. Ipinauubaya ko na sa iyo ang anak namin," Si Dad.
"I will, tito, tita."
Nagmano si Aiden sa kanilang dalawa bago ako sinalubong nang nakangiti, may luha sa kanyang mga mata kaya pinunasan ko ito.
This is the best day of my life.
"Ang ganda ng asawa ko," Hinawakan niya ang nga kamay ko at iginiya ako papunta sa harapan.
Humarap kami sa pari at nagsimula na ang seremonyas. I am shaking but when Aiden held my hand, I feel that nothing could ever go wrong.
Through out the ceremony, I am smiling from ear to ear with my teary eyes. Magkahawak kamay kami ni Aiden.
This is what I asked for. I prayed so hard for this. I kept my faith, and when I thought of giving up, he was there to give me hope. Aiden was always there. And destiny found a way to bring us back together.
I was never a believer of love. I've saw how love pained us, how love wrecked us, how love broke us into a million pieces, I know, because I was a product of marriage for convenience.
But now, I realized, love isn't always about the pain, it is about how you've gone through the pain just to get the love you deserve. It is about how much you love, not how much you felt pain. Love is sacrifice.
When he came into my life, I didn't imagine that I would fall hard for him. It was like a free fall, it is scary but exciting at the same time. You wouldn't know when or how you stop, you just keep on falling.
Five years of waiting for him to come back wasn't easy. I've been in denial. I've been through worst. But deep down, I know that my heart is waiting for him to return. I've been waiting for him to surrender, to be mine again, and he did.
I've seen his dating news, I've seen his dating scandals, but I didn't lose my trust in him because I know that he's also hurt.
"I, Kaitlyn Lee Cervantes, take thee Aiden Amell de Leon to be my lawfully wedded husband. From this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith or pledge myself to you," Hinawakan ko ng mahigpit ang kamay niya at isinuot sa kanya ang singsing na sumisimbolo sa pag-iibigan namin.
"I, Aiden Amell de Leon, take thee Kaitlyn Lee Cervantes to be ny lawfully wedded wife. from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith or pledge myself to you," Hinalikan niya ang kamay ko bago isinuot ang singsing sa akin.
We smiled at each other. From this day on, we will cherish and love each other as husband and wife. We will share our problems, we will make memories.
"In the name of the Holy Spirit, I now solemnly declare you husband and wife. Let no one put asunder those that have been joined together today in the presence of almighty God," Ngumiti ang pari sa aming dalawa. "You may kiss the bride."
Unti-unti niyang kinuha ang veil na nakatakip sa aking mukha. And he kissed me, infront of the people who witnessed our love story. Infront of the almighty God, infront of everyone. We shared the same surname. We shared the same world, we shared the same heartbeat. And together, we will always be stronger.
Naiiyak si Mommy habang hinahatid kami sa airport ni Aiden. We will spend our honeymoon outside the country. I suggested Boracay but we've been there for a couple of times kaya hindi na masyadong exciting. Sa Maldives kami maghohoneymoon. I wasn't been there, pati si Aiden.
"Mom, diba po ngayon din ang flight niyo papuntang U.S.? Kailangan mo pang magpagaling, Mommy. Huwag matigas ang ulo, I will be fine," Ngumiti ako at niyakap siya.
"Yes, I will miss you, anak. Tawagan mo ako palagi ah?"
"Oo naman, Mom. Dad, take care of mommy."
Tinanguan ako ni Daddy at tsaka niyakap ako. "I will miss you, hija."
Wala dito ang pamilya ni Aiden since babalik din naman kami dito sa Pilipinas pagkatapos ng isang buwan. Doon kami titira sa bahay nila.
"Kat! Mamimiss kita," Niyakap ako ng mahigpit ni Zenaida. "Pasalubong ah?"
Tumawa ako at tinapik siya. "Oo naman!"
Ngumiti lamang siya at bumulong sa akin, "Gumawa ka maraming anak, ako ang magiging ninang ha?"
"Baliw! Ikaw, mag boyfriend ka na! Sige ka, tatanda kang dalaga!" Kanchaw ko bago niya ako tinignan ng masama. "Joke lang."
"Pwede ko na bang kunin ang asawa ko? Five minutes na lang flight na namin," Hinawakan ni Aiden ang beywang ko.
"Take care of our daughter, Aiden," Bilin ni Daddy.
"I will, Pa."
Niyakap ko siya habang kumakaway sa kanila.
This is my new life with him.
"Let's make more memories, darling."
"Of course," Nakangiti ako habang nakatingin sa kanya.
This man is my husband. This man is my first love. We encountered a lot of problems but our love brought us back together. We are promised for each other.
"And of course, lots of babies. Five babies, what do you think?"
Nanlaki ang mata ko. "Five is too much, three," I laughed.
"Three then. I love you, darling," He kissed my lips.
"I love you too."
"Let's run away together this time, darling," He caressed my hair with his fingers.
"Let's run away to the end of the world, Aiden."
This is Kaitlyn Lee de Leon. I ran away from my wedding five years ago, I never thought that it could teach me a lot of lessons.
Aiden is my true love, my first love. And with him, I am whole.
