"I heard, lumabas daw kayo ni Aiden, anak? How was it?" Excited na tanong ni mom.

Everything still felt surreal. I need to get a hold of myself.

I don't know. I can't decide. My heart is telling me to give him another chance but my mind is opposing everything. I just can't think of a decision.

"Anak? You're spacing out," And here comes Mom, with her clingy and caring personality that I can't handle. I mean, don't get me wrong, I also want to have this kind of mom pero hindi ako sanay.

She scooped some rice and placed it on my plate. I swear, she never done that in my whole entire life. Hindi talaga siya ganyan! At ngayon, buong araw, bukambibig niya si Aiden.

"Mom. This is enough," Sabi ko ng naglagay siya ng napakaraming meat sa plato ko. She smiled at me and nodded.

"You need to eat more, anak, namamayat ka na."

Dad is only looking at us the whole time. He didn't bother to speak up.

I wanted to tell her that she's acting weird.

It feels very good honestly.

"Lumabas nga kayo ni Aiden?" Tanong ni Dad. This was the first time he talks about this, usually si mom ang ganito.

"Yeah. I just told him that I will not marry him again," Paglilinaw ko. "We need to marry someone whom we truly love."

Nagkatinginan si mom at dad, they were both a product of an arrange marriage and take note, they are also arranged by their parents to marry each other when the time comes. They want the legacy to continue.

Hindi na ulit sila umimik, even my mom stayed silent. Nagpatuloy ako sa pagkain ko. The atmosphere became awkward.

"I'm done. Thank you, mom, the food is delicious," Bahagya akong ngumiti habang nakatingin kay mom. She's a graduate of culinary arts that's why she's also a great cook. Being a chef is her ultimate dream but her family stopped her from reaching that dream.

"Welcome, anak. Masayang akong nagustuhan mo ang luto ko," She responded while putting more wine on her glass.

"I need to finish some work, Mom, Dad," Paalam ko sa kanila bago tumayo.

Mom and Dad isn't the typical caring and loving parents. They wanted me to become independent, they wanted me to become strong in my own.

For years, I've been craving for attention and love from my parents. Little did I know that they really do love me. They are not the typical ones who is very showy and clingy but they did their best to raise me, and mold me into the person that I am now.
