Thank you so much for all the votes and comments! I'm planning on uploading chapters on a weekly basis. Uni has started again and I have to adjust to actually doing things and not playing Animal Crossing all day but I will update you once there is some sort of schedule for this baby here.

Scott was the first one to wake up the next day. Even though he has had wine the evening before he felt alright and it only took him a moment to realize that he was in Avi's bedroom and not at home.

Avi hadn't moved an inch during the night and he was still fast asleep on Scott's shoulder, a sigh of how exhausted he had been from the nightmare.

The baritone smiled softly before he buried his nose in Avi's dark hair, closed his eyes and just enjoyed being close to him. Mitch was right, there was more and he was falling for his friend. His hand moved over the smaller man's back and Avis started to stir but instead of opening his eyes he just gripped the fabric of Scott's shirt tighter and let out a soft sigh.

It took Avi almost twenty minutes to wake up. He blinked every now and then but decided to get another five minutes of sleep before he finally decided that it was time for breakfast after his tummy growled.

"Comfy" Scott heard him mumble before a soft sigh followed. "Hungry."

"Then let's get you something to eat, huh? What do you usually have for breakfast?"

"Just cereal, it's quick and easy." Avi yawned and let go of Scott, untangled his legs. "Thanks for coming over, Scott."

"Hey, sure. Stop feeling like you have to thank me for everything I do. You're my friend, I'm happy to help and support you." And I really enjoyed being close to you, Scott added for himself and got up to make breakfast. He came back with two bowls of cereal, handed one to Avi who was sitting up in bed by now and they both started to eat. "Do you want to talk about your nightmare?" he asked carefully and looked up.

Avi shrugged and chewed. "I don't know. It was just scary and then when I finally woke up I wanted to turn on the lights and just- nothing happened. It stayed dark. I forgot that I lost my vision and...just scary" the bass said and sighed. "It's okay now. I'm doing better." The gray, oversized shirt was sliding off his right shoulder and his hair, which was slowly reaching his chest by now, was half stuck inside, the rest of it resting against his back.

"Nightmares can be scary, hm?" Scott touched his shoulder and fixed his shirt. "But you can always call and I'll come over as fast as possible."

Avi smiled and hummed while he was chewing and started to lean again Scott. "I really enjoyed not being alone during the night..." he mumbled and carefully raised the spoon back to his mouth.

The baritone couldn't help but smile. "Me too. Holding you felt good. Knowing that you have so much trust in me, helping you and being there for you, makes me really happy, Avi."

Scott went home around noon and found Mitch on the couch, swiping left and right on his phone. He was dressed in his clothes from the day before and looked up when he heard Scott approaching. "How was it?" he asked and put his phone to the side.

"Well, he had a pretty bad nightmare and was hiding under his blanket, shivering like a leaf. I got in bed with him and held him until it got better. Took him around half an hour to fall back asleep but he ended up sleeping through the night then, against my side with his head resting on my shoulder." He sat down next to him and sighed. "I'm just so...so impressed with how he is just moving on with his life. I can't imagine suddenly being blind."

"Yeah, I couldn't handle that either. But Avi just..works differently. Maybe it's because of how he was raised, how he grew up, I don't know."

"Me neither. I thought about maybe inviting him over when you and Kirstie are here for our game night?"
