Carolin and I walked into my house only to hear screaming. She was scared at first, but I told her it was normal. At least here it is. We snuck past my parents and headed upstairs into my room. We had scheduled a sleepover today even though it was a Monday. Carolin just wanted to get away from all the drama at home with her parents getting a divorce. So she was going to stay with me for a few days until things cooled down, but it was still sort of worse at my place.
"Gosh I can hear your parents all the way up here." Carolin said.
"I know." "They are pretty loud." I said with emphasis on pretty. "Let's just work on our homework"
For the next couple of hours we were doing homework, playing games on our phones and just talking about the things we hate and love the most. It was weird to be talking and being all best friends with someone that I've only known for about two weeks, but Carolin was pretty cool and we had a lot in common.
We didn't eat dinner that night because we had stuffed our faces in pizza at lunch earlier. So we just brushed our teeth, changed into our pajamas and went to sleep. Carolin had to sleep on my couch which was a good thing it was one of those couches that turned into a bed. Suprisingly we didn't have a hard time going to sleep.
I woke up, but I wasn't really awake. I was stuck in my own dream. I was in my bed, but everything else was dark I couldn't see anything and Carolin was gone.
"Melissa!" I heard a familiar voice "Melissa No!" It was Carolin.
"Carolin where did you go?!" I screamed as I started to cry.
Her voice fainted away and I looked around in the darkness for her. I took a step off my bed and fell. It felt like the fall never ended until I could finally see a bright light. Then I wasn't falling anymore.. I was floating in the darkness.
I pushed myself up into the light and saw I was moving closer and closer into the white light. Then I realized.. I was dying.
"No! No! No!" I yelled.
"Melissa..." "Melissa wake up!" "Wake up!" It was Carolin again.
I called her name, but my body didn't stop moving into the light. It grew bigger and bigger until..
I woke up.
