Chapter 19: Official Date

It was 6:00 and I couldn't decide what to wear. Jeans or skirt? Crop top or Long sleeve? Ugh. Life is hard when you're a girl. I finally chose to wear my black skater skirt and my velvet long sleeved crop top and black boots. I drew the thinnest line I could with a gray eyeliner and put a little bit of mascara on. I brushed my hair and put some of my Katy Perry: Killer Queen perfume on. Last I put on an infinity necklace with matching earrings and I was ready.

The clock read 7:30 and I still had time to sit down and relax. So I went downstairs to the living room and turned the TV on to Spongebob. Yes. I'm 15 and I still like Spongebob Squarepants. Who wouldn't? I checked my watch and the time was 7:45. I turned the TV off, went outside and called a taxi. 

Five minutes later the taxi came. I jumped in and told him where I was going. By the time I got to the Pizzeria it was 8:00. Right on time! I stepped out of the taxi and sighed. I felt butterflies in my stomach knowing that this was Tyler and I's first official date. I walked in to hear club music in the background and I saw him. He was sitting in one of those retro booths that looked like they were from the 1950's. He looked at me and smiled and of course I smiled back like a kid in a candy store.

I walked up to the booth he was sitting in and I sat across from him. 

"Hey babe!" He said in an excited mood. 

"Hey. Finally we get to have a real date instead of being in a cemetary." I said as I looked at him like a puppy in love.

"I know. Anyway, how is Carolin doing?" 

"She's getting better. She's in New York for now because of the funeral so she might be back on Monday."

"That's good to hear because I was really worried that night." His smile made me feel like my mind was melting."Well let's order some pizza. I bet we're both hungry here."

"Yeah I'm pretty hungry myself" I chuckled.

We ordered some pizza and had an awesome time. We even got into a little food fight and cleaned the mess up before we left. Then we went outside and took a walk.

"You know, the first time I saw you, you looked so sad and miserable. Why?" He asked me as he held my hand.

"Well.. I was being bullied. Vanessa spreaded the most horrible rumor about me and everyone was so naive to believe it." I said.

"That's why you mentioned bullying in that speech you did at the Candlelight Memorial."

"Yep"

"Well whatever she said about you, it's over now. Nobody will bother you now. Plus you are with me and I won't let anyone make fun of you." He stopped and turned so we were face to face. " I love you, Melissa Lee and I don't love anyone else but you." I was speechless, but as soon as I opened my mouth to say something he grabbed my face gently and kissed me.

When he stopped I opened my mouth again and said "I love you too, Tyler Montgomery." Then I kissed him back. Yep. We were making out in the middle of the sidewalk. I didn't care who walked passed us because our moment was magical.
