Monday Morning
Finally Carolin came back from New York on Sunday. I couldn't wait to see her at school. Even though it was only a couple of days, it felt like a decade without her. Ugh. There I go with the touchy- feely thing again. Carolin has been through a lot of stuff but throughout all of the crap in her life, she was still able to look me in the eyes for one quick second and hug me like she hasn't seen me in forever and I think I might just do that today.
Before I left the unusually quiet house, I grabbed my phone with my headphones and plugged it into my ears. I just needed to listen to some music to listen to because it felt like all the stressed was released with music. It might seem weird but it's not for me. Music and me just go together really well.
I walked outside and felt the brutal wind of the cold December weather. Wow. December already. It felt like yesterday when I was being made fun of in the first month of school and it was only one more month until my birthday. I never got a chance to think about it. Ever since I became a teenager, I just never feel the same way I feel about things anymore. I think it has something to do with this "teenager mojo" as my cousins say but I guess its just the way we feel.
First period, I couldn't find Carolin. Where the hell was she? She wasn't there for gym either and I was beginning to get worried. She told me she was going to be here. When I walked into the cafeteria I saw Tyler and walked up to him.
"Have you seen Carolin?"
"Well hello Melissa" He said sarcastically
"Tyler really, where's Carolin"
"She's in the office with some guy. I think they're suppose to get out of there now."
"Kay thanks babe" I kissed him and walked into the hallway near the office.
Finally I saw Carolin with a guy in the hallway. They were both holding hands and walking close to each other.
"Carolin!" I ran to Carolin and hugged her extremely tight.
"Oh my goodness Hey Mel!" She hugged back.
I stepped out of our embrace and looked at the boy smiling next to her.
"Who is this?" I asked.
"Oh! Melissa I'd like you to meet Peter.. my new boyfriend."
