I walked into my house slowly and locked the door quietly, expecting to hear more anger from my parents, but there was silence. I ran into the living room as fast as I could but nobody was there. I looked upstairs and all I could see in my parent's room was my mother and father cuddling and watching tv. My eyes widened and I was speechless and happy at the same time.
"Hi honey!" my mom said in a happy mood "I made brownies for everyone it's in the fridge!"
I hesitated to say or even think about anything. Was that really my mom or my mom and dad together? Brownies? Good mood? Today must really have been a good day. I still thought it was too good to be true, but before anything bad could happened I just had to fill my face with two or three brownies.
Everything was going well. It was completly problem free and no drama or breakdowns. Everything felt so good I just had to tell my grandparents. I could always tell my grandparents anything at anytime because they understood all of the bad things that have been going on with me. Which is why I had to tell them about this day.
I grabbed the phone and dialed the number and my grandmother answered at the first ring.
"Hi grandma!" "I'm so glad I can talk to you!"
"Hi sweety" she said in a weird tone. "I actually needed to speak to you."
"What is it grandma?" I said worried.
"It's about your grandfather" I could hear sniffling and probably tearing up. That's when I got very worried.
"He.. he.. he's.. gone."
