Based on the title, you already know where we are in our story. Infinity war. Wait- I meant the ending of homecoming! Yeah, infinity comes later. Right now, Peter is safe in his room. That's where he should have stayed but he's Peter the Lil bean and we know he's gonna escape. Peter was trying to perfect the formal tie, through the help of both a youtube video and Aunt May.

You, on the other hand, were sulking at home, wishing you had a date to homecoming. Ned didn't have a date, maybe you two would go as friends. But you were unmotivated to move and get your phone to text him. You just melted even further into your couch, wishing you and live could swap places. I mean, you had ice cream. Your favorite flavor of ice cream too. So why not just stay at home all comfy eating icecream while your couch practically consumed you?

"Y/n?" Of course, your mother had other plans. You'd told her all month you were gonna go to the dance and she was so happy, thinking you had a date. For the longest time, she thought you and Peter were dating, because she didn't know how to tell friends from best friends, from lovers. And unfortunately, you and Peter were just best friends.

"Yeah?" You croaked.

"Why aren't you dressed already your gonna leave that boy waiting for you. What was his name again?" Your mother called from the kitchen.

"Peter. And for the last time, we're not dating." You groaned. "I'm staying at home."

"Why?" Your mother walked into the living room where you stared at the blank TV, too lazy to pick up the remote and watch something. "Oh honey, look at yourself. This is honesty so depressing. Get cleaned up, your going to that dance."

"I can't. I have no one to go with." You sighed, shoving an overly large mouthful of ice cream.

"Then dance by yourself." Your mom said flatly. You rolled your eyes as you mom pulled you off the couch. "Trust me, it'll be fun."

"Last year wasn't fun." You sighed.

"Well, it wasn't my fault all your friends got a head cold." Your mom exaggerated.

"Yeah, and then ignored me the rest of the year. They aren't my friends any more mom." You said. Your mom looked at you as if you'd just revealed you were pregnant.

"You don't hang out with them?" She gasped.

"Yeah, for a year already. How do you not know I told you like a billion times." You raised an eyebrow. She dragged you to your room.

"Well, I didn't buy this dress for nothing." Your mom revealed to you a dress in your favorite color, with simple spaghetti straps and not a lot of decore.

"You got that at the thrift store." You sighed.

"So what?" Your mom questioned. "Put it on. We're getting you to that dance."

"Mom seriously?" You whined.

"Yes seriously. Now hurry up." She barked.

So Peter had succeeded in your little bet of sorts. He managed to go to the dance with Liz. At first, you thought he'd been lying, especially when you saw Liz come in by herself. Then Peter came in and her face lit up. From afar, where you lurked in the shadows of the bleachers like a creep, you saw her smile and greet Peter. She was obviously trying to joke about something, but Peter just stood there, looking at her in fear.

You saw Ned and left from where you were hiding, that's when you heard Peter.

"You don't deserve this." He said with a face of terror. You froze, looking at them in confusion. Peter had actually begun to run away. And he ran FAST. At first, you thought he was just scared of actually dancing with a girl, and you wanted to go either tease him about it or convince him to get back on his feet. The first one seemed funnier. Then it hit you like a truck.
