   Y/n's P.O.V.

We continued walking and eventually set up camp once the sun started setting. Whatever painkillers Wicked had me on were wearing off. I could definitely feel it again.

I winced as I pulled my backpack off of my shoulders. Newt had forgotten to take it from me since he was the first to leave Winston and I was the last. Chuck looked up at me with a slightly confused and concerned look. I smiled weakly and set my bag on the sand.

"Get some sleep, shanks. We've obviously got a lot of walking left," Minho yelled you the group. He was right, we do have a lot of walking left. I looked around and all I could see was sand.

Sand, sand, sand, and more sand.

You could just barely make out some mountains in the distance, and that's where we're going. Newt had been a bit skeptical at first.

I thought back to when Thomas had presented the idea of the mountains.

"The Right Arm. They help kids escape from Wicked," Thomas explained.

Newt looked at Thomas like he had just sprouted a second head.

"People? In the mountains?" He asked.

It was a bit risky, I had to admit. I could see why he was so skeptical. What if they weren't there? If they didn't even exist?

   Thomas looked down.

"That's your plan? Mountain people?" Newt questioned further. He was getting really annoyed, I could tell. I gently grabbed his arm and pulled him a little bit towards me, away from Tommy.

I stepped forward a little bit and looked at Thomas.

"He's right, Thomas. What if they don't exist? Or if we can't find them? What will we do then?" I asked calmly.

I was trying not to show how terrified I was. He looked away for a second, then back at me.

"Then we'll run. We'll find somewhere far away from Wicked. Somewhere safe."

I nodded slightly and turned to keep walking forward.

I was pulled from my thoughts by Newt sitting next to me. He looked over at me and smiled a little bit, which I returned with a weak smile.

"How you holding up?" I asked softly.

I watched Thomas and Minho get situated on the ground and start talking quietly amongst themselves. Frypan was already asleep nearby. Teresa was also sleeping - as was Finnick.

"I'm doing as good as I can," he shrugged. I nodded and looked up at the sky. It was funny how this all worked. During the day, this place is hotter than the Sun - without a cloud in the sky or anything. Just a solid blue sky all day.

But at night, it gets freezing cold and the sky becomes littered with billions of tiny stars. I looked up at the twinkling stars. It was pretty, and it kind of lifted my spirits a little.

"What about you, Y/n?" He whispered.

I shrugged and looked around at my friends. Thomas and Minho were settling down and starting to go to sleep.

"I'm doing okay, I guess. Given the situation."

It was just like our answers from earlier.

He nodded and looked up at the stars. We sat there for a few minutes in silence - a comfortable one, not an awkward one.
