"Whatcha doing?"
Elena fell out of her chair and turned around to her window.
"Jasper?" He appeared in front of her and laughed.
"Sorry darling. Didn't mean to startle you." He chuckled as he helped her up.
"Yeah, I'm sure you didn't." She patted her leggings trying to get any dust or dirt off of them.
"So, what were you doing?" He sat down at her desk.
"Homework. Which I'm sure you never have a reason to do since it doesn't matter whether you graduate or not." Elena was pulled into his lap and laughed.
"Actually I've graduated a bunch of times and it gets worse every time." He looked at the questions on her homework and laughed.
"What? Did I get something wrong?" She reaches for her pencil and he took it out of her hand.
"No. You're right. I just think you spend too much time doing homework." He put her pencil down and turned her around to look at him.
She stared into his eyes and noticed his eyes were bright gold. She couldn't help but stare at how beautiful they are before she realized she was staring. She wrapped her arms around his neck and looked at him. "Well I don't get to graduate all the time. This is a one time thing and I want to get into a good college." She kissed his cheek before standing up and going to her bed.
Jasper laughed and laid down next to her. "College is far away." He played with her hair as she laid on his chest.
"I like to think ahead in life than you very much." She hugged his torso and snuggled into him.
"You don't find it weird?" She looked up at him in question. "Me being cold all the time."
Elena sighed and sat up. "Jasper. When I first met you all I knew there was something different about your family. At the time I wasn't crazy enough to think vampires existed but you do. It's just, when I'm with you. I don't see you as someone who could kill someone. I don't see you as dangerous. I see you as someone I care about. I feel safe with you. Happy. Your temperature has nothing to do with the way I feel about you."
Jasper put his hand on Elena's cheek and she leaned into his hand. "You're amazing." He spoke softly as he slowly leaned in.
"So are you." She whispered. Just before their lips could meet she heard a cough behind her. She turned around frightened it was Charlie. Instead she saw Edward who looked like he was holding back a laugh.
"Hate to be a buzzkill and all. But we have to go." Edward disappeared just as fast as he appeared.
"I'll kill him." Elena muttered.
"Not if I beat you to it." Jasper kissed the top of her head before heading to her window. "Oh Elena." She looked at him. "I'll come and meet Charlie tomorrow. That way he knows who I am." Elena blushed and Jasper was gone.
Knock knock
"Elena?"
"Yeah dad?" She called out.
"Billy and Jake are here." Elena smiled and ran downstairs.
"Billy!" She ran into the mans arms as best as she could. Since he was in a wheelchair he leaned up to hug her.
"Hey princess." He greeted with a big smile.
"How are you?" She asked.
"As best as can be." He laughed. "How about you? Anything going on in your life?"
"Nothing exciting." She laughed. "Hey Jake." Elena moves over to the long haired boy and he smiled as he hugged her.
"Hey Elena." He pulled away. "Looking good as always." He chuckled.
She pushed hair over her shoulder, "thanks I tried." The three of them laughed before Charlie appeared in the room.
"Ready to watch the game?" He asked. Billy and Jake nodded and Elena went to follow them before Bella stopped her.
"Elena could I get your help with something real quick?" Elena nodded and told Jake she would be down as quickly as possible.
"What's up?" Elena shut Bella's door as the girl entered.
"I'm going to Edward's tomorrow." Bella ran a hand through her hair.
"Okay? That's great. You're gonna meet everyone." Elena clapped happily. I really need to stop spending time with Alice. Elena thought to herself.
"Exactly. What do I wear?" Bella ran to her closet.
"Is the Isabella Swan asking me, Elena Swan for fashion advice." Elena placed a hand on her chest.
"At the moment I'm regretting ever inviting you in here." Bella mumbled.
"First of all, I can hear you. Second of all, they aren't gonna care on what you wear to their house. They're not high class or anything." Elena walked to her sisters closet.
"I know but, what if they don't like me. And don't start about how they like you, we may be from the same womb but we're completely different." Elena shut her mouth before answering.
"Well let's just put together something simple. Don't go all out because you and I both know you'd look extremely awkward." Elena started searching through Bella's closet before deciding on a simple everyday outfit that wouldn't embarrass her.
A pair of dark blue jeans and two long sleeve tops. "The grey goes under the green." She also pulled out a simple white cardigan to go over it. "There's your outfit now if you'll excuse me, I love you but I'm going to watch the game." Elena started to walk out the door but turned around before she left. "Bella?"
Bella looked at her sister as she was putting the clothes on top of her desk. "Yeah?"
"Don't be nervous. They may seem scary but they're not. They're all really fun to be around. Trust me." Elena winked at her sister before rushing downstairs and taking the seat next to Jacob. He handed her a cup of soda before letting her have some of his m&ms.
"Thanks Jake. You're the best." She kissed his cheek and started watching the game with the three of the most important men in her life.
