"Do I look okay?"

Bella whispered to her sister. They both stood at the top of the stairs waiting to walk down together.

"You look gorgeous Bells." Elena complimented her sister.

"You look even better." Both girls smiled at each other and took a deep breath before linking arms and walked down the stairs where they were met by the three important men in their lives.

Jasper was overwhelmed by the human blood in the house. He had been used to Elena's by now. But he could feel the thirst in Edward's throat and that didn't help. Nor did the sound of Charlie's heartbeat and his blood. But, the second he locked eyes with his mate, it seemed like nothing could affect him.

Bella was wearing a dress that Alice had lent her. It was a beautiful Blue color that suited her perfectly. Bella wasn't all to happy that she had to wear a cast on her leg because of the incident with James but she couldn't just take it off and put it back on.

Elena on the other hand was wearing the red dress from that day she tried it on with Jessica and Angela. It magically appeared on her porch with a note from Alice saying, 'Thank me later.' Elena knew she would thank her but would want Alice to keep the dress. Elena still wasn't sure if she wanted to go to Prom or not but she knew Alice would be furious if she didn't show up and show off her new dress.

When the two reached the bottom of the stairs Elena couldn't help but stare at Jasper. He was in a black tux with a black tie. His hair was in its usual messy waves but they looked a bit more contained than usual. As if he had started to tame them but then decided against it. No doubt Alice had argued with him about the way he dressed and how he looked for Prom with Elena. Truth be told, Elena loved him either way.

"Alice gave us the dresses." Elena gave a shy smile.

"The cast is.." Bella mentally glared at the cast on her leg.

"The cast is perfect." Edward finished for her. Leave it to Edward to make something romantic when its not supposed to be. Bella let out a barely audible laugh but smiled.

"We'll take good care of them Chief Swan." Edward spoke for both himself and his adoptive sibling.

"Uh-Huh. I've heard that before." He grumbled. Elena couldn't help the smile that appeared on her face after her father spoke up. He was one funny guy. Bella rolled her eyes and Edward reached to the door to hold it open for Bella.

"Ma'am." Jasper had a half smile on his face as he held his hand out for Elena to take. She blushed but placed her hand in his, his cold temperature calming Elena's nerves causing her to take a breath and visibly relax.

"Bella." Charlie called before she left. "Elena." He motioned her to go to him as well. Jasper and Edward walked out knowing that they were not meant to hear this conversation between a father and his daughters.

"Bella, I put a new can of pepper spray in your bag."

"Dad." Bella was obviously embarrassed knowing that Edward could hear their conversation without even being near the two.

"Well, you both look beautiful." He complimented his daughters. He knew they were grown up already but he secretly wished it hadn't happened so soon.

"Thanks." She let out a small laugh, "see ya." Bella walked out of the house and headed towards Edward's car.

"El?"

"Yeah dad?" Elena looked at him.

"Watch that Edward kid with Bella. You seem to be more responsible even if you're the youngest."

"I will dad. I promise." She gave him an awkward thumbs up causing him to chuckle.

"That Jasper kid doesn't seem too bad either. Just remind him that I know how to use a gun okay?" Charlie winked jokingly to Elena who just laughed loudly in response.

"Trust me dad. I'll make sure he never forgets it. I'll see you later." Elena quickly hugged her father and went outside to make sure her sister arrived to Edward's car safely without any falls or slips.
