"I'll go park the car."

Jasper had stopped in the front of a bench and let Elena get out.

"Okay. Don't be too long though." She giggled.

"Of course not ma'am." His southern accent came out and Elena's heart skipped a beat. She blushed and shut the door but was quickly joined by Bella.

"Come, let's sit down." Elena sat down with Bella but the two weren't in silence for long.

"Bella! Elena!" A familiar voice called out for the two girls.

"Jacob?!" Elena stood up and went to hug her best friend.

"Hey." Bella greeted as she stayed on the bench.

"Nice. You both look really nice." He smiled. Jacob escorted Elena back to the bench and sat down next to Elena.

"You too." The girls said in unison.

"Are you crashing the prom or something?" Bella asked the boy.

"Yeah, did you come with a date?" Elena jokingly looked over his shoulder.

"No." He chuckled. "My dad paid me to come talk to you. The both of you."

"Billy paid you? To talk to us?" Elena questioned. If it had something to do with Elena, he could've just straight up told her. Billy was family.

"Twenty bucks." Jacob shrugged.

"Let's hear it." Bella said wanting to know what could've been so important that Billy had to pay Jacob for.

"Just don't get mad okay? Especially you Elena." This statement made Elena's eyes squint. What was this about?

"He wants you to break up with your boyfriend. The both of you." Jacob only looked at Elena for the last sentence. His gaze went right back to Bella Swan. "It's just, he said, uh, quote, we'll be watching you." He let out a laugh at the end clearly finding what he had just told the two girls extremely creepy.

"Okay well tell him thanks." Bella tried not to laugh with Jacob as well.

"And to pay up. You deserve it for saying it so creepy like." The three friends started laughing together again.

Bella noticed Edward coming so she went to stand up.

"Oh here, let me help you." Jacob stood up with her but Bella was on her own two feet again.

"Jacob." Edward stopped the tan-skinned boy. "I'll take it from here." Edward immediately went to Bella's side. Jasper right behind him headed to Elena's side and wrapped an arm around her waist.

Jacob who was already glaring at Edward turned to glare at the Cullen who had his arm around his best friend.

"Ill see you around girls." Jacob spoked through gritted teeth.

"Alright." Bella whispered.

"See you Jake." Elena gave him a wave but was swept away by Jasper who could feel the hatred coming off of Jacob Black.

Jasper and Elena followed Bella and Edward down a red carpet and stopped a few feet behind the couple as they got their picture taken.

"Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?" Jasper whispered in his mate's ear as they stopped to get their picture taken. Elena was blushing as she smiled for the camera and continued walking with Jasper down the carpet.

"Yes, about ten times in the car and another five since we've arrived." Elena couldn't help but giggle and Jasper kissed her temple.

"I haven't told you enough yet so it'll keep coming." He whispered in her ear.

Elena was sure her face was beet red from the compliments he was giving her but she didn't care. She was spending time with Jasper and that was all that mattered to her.

The couple caught up with their siblings and walked next to each other. There were students dancing and playing games while music was blasting throughout the venue. The first couple the group of four spotted was Jessica and Mike who were getting their picture taken doing multiple different poses.

Elena couldn't help but notice Bella compliment Jessica on how nice the dress complimented her figure. Elena laughed and gave Jessica a thumbs up.

The next person they encountered was Tyler who started to dance in front of Bella causing her to take a step back and Elena to laugh to herself. Of course her sister would be awkward at a time like this.

Elena spotted Angela and Eric at the DJ booth and Eric called out to her.

"Elena! Bella!" Angela just waved happily to both girls who waved back obviously excited that both of their girl friends were at prom with the people they wanted to be with.

Elena could feel Jasper's arm tighten around her. The bodies in the room must be too much for him.

"Jas. Lets go outside." Jasper nodded and the two went outside followed by Edward and Bella. The two couples took separate courses. Edward and Bella heading to a beautiful Gazebo while Elena wanted to get Jasper as far away as she possibly could.

The couple ended up a good distance away from the building but Elena was still able to hear the music that was booming from the building.

"Are you okay Jasper?" Elena asked as she put a hand on his cheek.

"I'm fine. We could go back if you want." He suggested. She knew how he felt and she didn't want to take him back to where all the bodies were close together and the blood was flowing throughout the entire building.

"I'm fine being out here Jas. I didn't come here to hang out with people I won't ever see after high school. I came here to be with you. To make memories with you." Her thumb brushed against his cheek and he closed his eyes. Her scent relaxed him now more than it made him hungry for her blood.

"That you won't see after high school? Why's that?" He asked. He wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer while saying to the slow song that had just been turned on.

"Well I do not doubt that I will be one of you." Jasper inhaled sharply. "Jasper you know that I want to be with you forever. If that means becoming just like you then I am one hundred percent willing to do so."

Of course Jasper wouldn't admit the thought of her becoming a monster like him was saddening he would want her to live a long life but he wasn't sure if he would be able to change her himself or not.

"I'm not saying to turn me the second we graduate. I want time to be a human and do human things like sleeping and eating and other things. I don't want to rush into it and have to give up my entire life that very second. I don't know if I could live without Charlie or even Renee." Elena sighed looking down. She didn't know how Jasper felt about her being one of them. She knew she would need to change at some point for her and Jasper to be together for the rest of their lives.

"I want you to live a normal life for as long as possible." Jasper twirled his mate. "I will spend the rest of my life with you, protecting you from any harm that could ever come to you. I love you Elena Swan. I will do anything you ask of me." His face leaned closer to her.

"Anything?" She asked with a small smirk on her face.

"Anything." He whispered to her.

"Kiss me?" She leaned up and he met her halfway. Their lips met and it was heaven on Earth. Nothing else in the world mattered but the two of them in this moment. Butterflies were filling Elena's stomach and Jasper could feel the joy and happiness radiating off of her. He couldn't help but let a smile appear on his lips. Everything was perfect. He had a reason to live, a reason to be happy. That was all he ever needed. Love.
