~Chapter 2~

Darrys P.O.V -

The alarm clock started to ring and I got up to go get everyone up. First, I brushed my teeth and took a shower. As soon as I got out, I lightly knocked on Kaiya's door. There was no answer. I knocked harder and still no answer. I opened the door and checked the room. Where was she?! I slammed the door angrily and burst into Sodapops room. "Where is Kaiya"?! I almost yelled.

Sodapop rubbed his eyes "I don't know."

I slammed his door to and checked the time. I had a little time left to find her before I had to go to work. I quickly scribbled a note for Sodapop and then I got into my car and left. First, I went to the high school she was supposed to be at. I went into the school office and told the Secretary "Has anyone named Kaiya Lee enter the school yet" ?

The Secretary looked up annoyed "The Australian" ?

I glared at her upset at how she called Kaiya out "Yes, the exchange student."

The Secretary bitterly pointed to the principals office "she's in there."

I looked over and heard yelling. I groaned, what the hell did she do? I walked over to the door and opened it a bit and asked "May I"?

The principal looked over at me "Are you responsible for her"?!

I nodded "Yes. Why"?

He crossed his arms "Because she thought it would be funny to smoke a cigarette and then blow it into a girls face. Then after that she kicked in a wall and hid drugs in there" !

I looked at Kaiya and she say in the chair with a prideful smile on her face. She was actually happy for what she did.

I replied "Well sir, how do you know what you consider drugs here aren't considered drugs in Australia."

The principal started to stutter "Well I. Because -"

I cut him off "And what if the girl asked her to blow the smoke in her face. And what if she tripped and that's how the wall for a while in it. Are you 100% sure, what you are told is true"?

Kaiya winked at me and smirked.

The principal furrowed his eyebrows "Well no matter what, she is suspended for having a cigarette on school property. 3 weeks" !

I responded "That seems a little harsh. Can't you-"

He cut me off "No! Get out of my office. Both of you"!

As I headed out to my car Kaiya smiled and told me "Thanks for covering for me."

I angrily stared at her "No. No thanks! You cannot just act like you own the school when you get here! Your not even from here so if I were you missy than I would tone it down."

Kaiya scoffed "You are one racist son of a bitch. But that's how you Americans are, aren't you guys"?

I opened the car door "Get in the car."

Kaiya stepped back "No I'm good."

She was sure testing my patience. "Get in now."

Kaiya glared at me "You must have not realized it but if you bothered to read the paper that has all the information but I'm eighteen and here I am an adult. I can make my own decisions."

I raised an eyebrow "You bet your ass you will! Get in the car before I drag you to it."

Kaiya smiled and raised up the middle finger "Softish. Still one small bitch."

I laughed annoyed "Haha. Get in."

Kaiya nodded and got into the drivers seat. "Okay."

I shook my head "No, no, no. I am the driver."

Kaiya started the car "What? I can't hear you"!

I started knocking on the window "I AM THE DRIVER"!

Kaiya turned on the radio and started bobbing her head to it "You sure have good taste. Now I'm gonna give you a choice. Either you get in the car and still have one or I drive off and you ain't ever gonna see me or this car again."

I gasped "Kaiya."

Kaiya didn't have any expression "3."

I gritted my teeth "Open the door."

Kaiya still had the plain expression "2."

I finally climbed into the passenger seat "I can't believe this."

Kaiya smiled "Welcome aboard Kaiya express. Please Enjoy your time and keep your arms and legs in the vehicle at all times."

I couldn't believe her. "Thanks I will keep note of that."

As soon as a red light hit. Kaiya parked the car in the middle of the road and jumped out "See you later"!
