~Chapter 13~

Darrys P.O.V-

The Next Morning ~

I woke up and went into the living room. I saw Kaiya sitting there and she smiled when she saw me.

"How long have you been up" ? I asked.

Kaiya stretched "A few minutes ago. I couldn't fall asleep again."

I nodded "Well you can help me make breakfast. If you want"?

Kaiya stood up "Yeah okay."

~ Chocolate cake and beer.  The standard Greaser breakfast.~

As soon as it was done, I sat down on the couch and Kaiya sat down next to me.  I wrapped my arm around her and she smiled at me. I turned on the T.V. and Kaiya soon fell asleep in my arms. It made me wonder how long she had been up in reality.

She looked so peaceful in my arms. I carefully kissed her forehead and went to go wake Sodapop up. I told him to keep it down because Kaiya was sleeping. I left a note for Kaiya that said

"Sodapop and I are at work. Sleep well and I have a suprise for you tonight."

I smiled as I left for work.

Kaiya's P.O.V-

I woke up on the couch wrapped up in a blanket. On the coffee table there was a note addressed to me so I read it. I smiled after I finished reading it. Darry has a suprise for me! I quickly got up to get ready for whatever Darry had ready for me. I ran to my room and started doing my makeup.

4 hours later -

Darry got home! I ran to him and he gave me a bouquet of flowers. I smiled and kissed his cheek "Thanks."

Darry grinned "Are you ready for your surprise" ?

I nodded "Yeah."

Darry led me out to the car and opened the car door. "M'lady."

I got in and I remembered Darry and I arguing here, on the first day I was here. It was weird to think that, it was a month and a half ago that we met. Now I have half a month left here. Maybe. If I decided to stay. I felt sadness but me so I looked away so Darry couldn't see my face. I missed my family but I would miss Darry too. I felt his warm hand slide into mine. I felt my love take over and the sadness went away.

Darrys P.O.V-

I parked the car and Kaiya got out.

"Is this a drive-in"? She asked excited.

I smiled "Yeah. I thought-"

Kaiya cut me off "It's awesome. I always do pictures them but I never have been to one."

I nodded "Well permit me to take you to your first one."

Kaiya and I walked over to the benches and saved our spots. We walked sober to the snacks and bought popcorn. The movie just started when we made it back to the benches.

The movie was boring in my opinion but Kaiya was interested.  Her eyes were stuck on the screen. It's like She was in a trance or something. I took a sip of the soda and Kaiya smiled at me.

"This is awesome. Thanks for bringing me." She said.

I grinned "Anything for you."

Kaiya smirked "Okay."

Kaiya's P.O.V -

How was Darry interested in this movie?! I was so bored but I didn't want to complain to Darry. I would just stare at the screen and zone out to help time pass by. The drive in was awesome, don't get me wrong ,but the movie was boring. If it was a horror movie I would have been more interested, but this was a dramatic movie about the past. There was girls in dresses and dudes in uniforms. Maybe it was about some war, or something. Finally, the end credits came on. I smiled and stood up "That was good movie."

" Yup. " replied Darry.

We both walked into the car. On the way home, Darry held my hand in the car. When we walked to the house door Darry stopped me.

"Wait." He told me.

I stopped "What" ?

Darry held his neck "I forgot something."

I nodded "Well we can go back and get it."

Darry shook his head "No."

I was confused "Then what do you want to do"?

Darry wrapped me in his arms "This." He kissed me out of nowhere . I stood in my tippy toes to be able to kiss him back. I was happy that Darry finally kissed me.
