~Chapter 12~

Darrys P.O.V-

Kaiya and Dally walked into the house. Kaiya went to her room, Dally must have pissed her off.  I glared at Dally. "What did you do"?

Dally raised an eyebrow "Me? your the liar."

I crossed my arms "What did I lie about." ?

Dally stared at me sternly. "You lied about Kaiya being your girlfriend. And you lied about her staying."

I gritted my teeth "When did I say that" ?

Dally shoved past me "Last night."

I went over to Kaiya's room and knocked on the door. "Kaiya"?

Kaiya replied "Go away."

I knocked again "Please let's just talk."

Kaiya called back "You had plenty to lie about last night. why don't you just talk for the both of us"?

I held my head "I was drunk."

Kaiya scoffed "don't use that as an excuse. When I get drunk I don't go around telling people your my boyfriend."

I pleased "Please I can explain everything."

Kaiya didn't seem interested. "Explain what. On what scale of drunk you were."

I opened the door "Listen. If you still want to be mad at me after I explain. You can, I just want you to know why I said that."

Kaiya looked down "Sure say what you want to say and get out."

I started talking. "I said that because I didn't want any of the boys to make a move in you. And you already knew I liked you. I was just saying what I wish would happen."

Kaiya looked up "Darry I have to go home. I don't want to fall in love and stay here."

I was hurt "I do. I want to like you. But you don't. If you want we can just end this right here. We won't ever being it up again."

Kaiya shook her head "I can't end it either. I like you too much to just let it go in the trash. But my family."

I grabbed her hand "The gang is my family. Why can't you just accept them as yours"?

Kaiya smiled weakly "I dunno."

I nodded "So do you want to end it or start something" ?

Kaiya replied "I guess we should try to start something. At least."

I smiled "Kaiya will you be my girlfriend"?

Kaiya grinned and nodded "Yes. As long as your not drunk."

I laughed "I'm not drunk."

Kaiya smiled "Well then. Darryl Curtis you just earned yourself a girlfriend."

I stood up and Kaiya hugged me. I wanted to kiss her but it was too soon. It would be awkward if Kaiya didn't want to kiss yet. I grabbed her hand "Lets go make dinner."

Kaiya nodded.

Kaiya's P.O.V -

I wish he kissed me. But it would be awkward if Darry didn't want to kiss yet. I smiled as the smell of chicken filled the house. I started making the rice. Darry whispered from behind "Your doing great."

I laughed "Is it obvious that I don't cook"?

Darry grinned "Kind of."

The rice turned out great. I was pretty proud of myself but Darry was prouder. He would not stop smiling at me and I felt so flustered. Dally saw Darry smiling at me and he winked at me. Why did Dally have to figure everything? I hid my face and quietly ate. When I looked up everyone was staring at me.

"What" ? I asked.

Steve shouted "Your Darrys Girlfriend" !

What the heck? did this gang learn morse code or something because none of them ever asked Darry or me? I went red "I uh yeah."

Sodapop smiled at me and whispered "It's okay. I'm glad it's you."

I smiled and replied "Thanks."
