Darrys P.O.V-

I arrived home and saw Kaiya doing homework. Two-Bit was behind her asking her questions and I couldn't help but laugh. Kaiya looked up and took a sip of her beer. "Welcome home." She said.

I nodded "Glad to be here."

She smirked and Two-Bit said "why is there an X?! That's the alphabet not math"!

Kaiya replied "We have to find X."

Two-Bit smiled "That's good. We found it! It's right there."

Kaiya laughed and said "The number version of X."

Two-Bit shrieked and ran away.

Kaiya stood up and walked over to me. "I don't think Two-Bit should learn math."

I grinned "Think"?

Kaiya handed me a folded picture "A SOC had crush on you."

I opened it and it was me "Who"?

Kaiya smiled "some redhead."

I smirked and pulled Kaiya closer to me "am I sensing jealousy"?

Kaiya looked down "Maybe."

I lifted her head "don't be. I only love you."

Kaiya smiled "I know but she had red hair. You know how rare red hair is"?

There was a knock at the door and we both looked at it. Darry went to go answer it and the phone started to ring. I went for the door and Kaiya went for the phone.

Kaiya's P.O.V-

" Hello"? I asked.

"Hi who is this" ? Said a voice.

I raised an eyebrow "Who is this"?

" Ponyboy Curtis. " he replied.

"Oh hi. I'm Kaiya Lee." I said with a smile on my face.

" Are you the foreign exchange student "? He asked.

" Yeah, is there a problem"? I said concerned.

"No but I am gonna be arriving at the airport today. I need someone to pick me up." He said.

I suddenly had an idea. "I have an idea! What if I go get you and we suprise Darry and Sodapop."

An excited voice replied "Yeah"!

I smiled "Okay I will go pick you up."

" Bye. "

"See you later."

I hung up the phone and faced Darry. "I have to go. I will be right back."

" What why"? He said nervously.

"something with my graduation." I lied.

Darry nodded "I will go with you."

I replied "No. They only want me. I will come back soon."

Darry hugged me "Okay stay safe. Please."

I smiled "Of course I will."

I got into the car and headed off to the airport.

At the airport -

I walked inside and sat in the waiting area. "Flight 42 from Australia has landed at gate 3C. " I got up and headed over to gate 3C and stood there anxiously. A boy came up to me "Are you Mark Smith"?

I shook my head "No." I plainly stated.

The boy walked off and I wondered to myself. "Do I look like a boy"? I looked down at my clothes. I was wearing a white shirt with a black plaid skirt. I looked back up and a boy came up to me "Are you Kaiya Lee"? I

I smiled "Yes. Are you Ponyboy Curtis"?

He nodded "Yeah."

I took a deep breath "So you ready to go"?

He grinned "when ever you are."

This couldn't have been more awkward. It was easy to talk to him through a phone but now we were face to face to each other.

We got in the car. "So would you like to go get some food"? I

Ponyboy replied "Actually I really miss Darrys cooking. I'm good."

I nodded "Darry is a really good cook."

Ponyboy smiled "Yeah, your mom is too."

I grinned "How is my mom"?

Ponyboy said "she really missed you. But your going home in seven days so she has been very excited. She bought all these banners and wrote your name on them."

Home. Oops.
