~Chapter 22~

Darrys P.O.V-

I woke up and started to cook breakfast. I knew it wouldn't be long for the gang to arrive so I started to cook fast. I set the cake and beer on the table and went to go wake Kaiya up so we could spend alone time with each other. Kaiya smiled when she saw me "Good morning."

I winked at her "Good Morning."

Kaiya smirked "You busy"?

I shook my head "I'm never busy for you."

Kaiya walked out of her room and sat down on the couch with me. She layed on me as I read the newspaper aloud to her. Kaiya looked so cute on my lap and I admired her. "So someone jumped a SOC and they took it to the newspaper." I read.

Kaiya laughed "Who jumped him"?

I continued reading it " It says quote on quote ' I was walking when two people stopped me. I tried backing up but someone blew cigarette ashes into my face. I stopped to clean my eyes and someone else punched me. For self defense I stabbed one of them in the rib area. They beat me up and left me alone.'"

Kaiya looked pale "That's very descriptive."

I nodded "This SOC wasn't playing."

Kaiya sat up and took the newspaper out of my hands " That doesn't matter anymore, he got what he deserved. " She set the newspaper down on the coffee table and smiled at me.

I pulled her into my lap and kissed her "Your so pretty."

Kaiya laughed "Thanks." She wrapped her arms around me.

I brushed hair out of her face and said "So what do you want to do after high school" ?

Kaiya stopped hugging me and replied "I don't know."

I lightly chuckled "You don't know? Well how can you fix that"?

Kaiya climbed off my lap and held her head "I dunno."

I couldn't believe her. "Kaiya you have to have a plan for something."

Kaiya looked down "I don't know what to do. I'm a stupid 18 year old who has no idea what to do in life."

I nodded "I get it. You are sacrificing a lot just by staying here with me."

Kaiya smiled "I might just be a waitress."

I grabbed her face and tilted it to where she would face me "That's a good start." I kissed her cheek and Kaiya blushed .

She leaned her head on mine "Thanks."

I was about to kiss her until Two-Bit burst into the doors. "Oh gross" ! He said when he saw us.

Kaiya got off the couch and stood up "I'm gonna go change."

I smiled at Two-Bit "Your here for food and for my T.V and you have the audacity to say gross."

Two-Bit grabbed a beer "and I'm here for beer."

Ponyboy yawned as he walked into the living room "Is there cake"?

I smiled "Is the sky blue"?

Ponyboy went into the kitchen and served himself cake. "Thanks."

Kaiya walked into the kitchen and her was neatly combed into a ponytail. "Morning Ponyboy."

Ponyboy nodded "Morning."

Kaiya's P.O.V -

Two-Bit came up to me "You like kissing Darry don't ya. When ever I walk into this house you guys are always nipping up each others faces."

I sighed "Two-Bit" ?

Two-Bit smiled "Yeah" ?

I stood up straight "Shut up."

Two-Bit's smile disappeared "I bet Darry is pulling up your shirt like this."

Two-Bit partly pulled up my shirt and I smacked his arm " Two-Bit don't "! It was too late. Her showed my gauze which was covered in dry blood. I quickly pulled down my shirt and cleared my throat "I'm getting cake." I was eating cake but Darry kept staring at me. Oh no.
