~Chapter 14~

Darrys P.O.V-

I couldn't believe it. Kaiya was in my arms and I was missing her. I never thought this would ever happen after I lost my parents , but now it was. And the best part of all is, that it was Kaiya. Suddenly we were interrupted.

Two-Bit stood there "You two quit nipping on each others faces and come inside."

Kaiya laughed "Were coming." Kaiya followed Two-Bit inside and left me outside standing in wonder.

After a couple minutes Kaiya peeked out and said "You coming"?

I nodded "Yeah." I went inside and there was Kaiya cleaning up Dallys face.

Kaiya smiled "So who's you fight Dal"?

Dally stood there upset "Stupid Tim. He accused me of slicing his tires. I don't like being accused."

I smiled "Did you slice the tires"?

Dally crossed his arms "Maybe. Yes."

Kaiya finished cleaning up his cuts and said "Go on home. don't get into anymore trouble. I don't want to be cleaning you up anymore."

Dally got up and left. Kaiya kind of sounded like a 'Mom. '

Kaiya smiled at me after he left "I better be going to bed."

I nodded "Yeah see you in the morning."

Kaiya kissed my cheek "See ya." I watched as she walked into her room. Part of me wanted to chase her and tell her to stay with me.

I bit my lip "Wanna hang with me"? I wanted to smack myself.

Kaiya smirked "Right now"?

I nodded clumsily "Yeah."

Kaiya smiled "let me change first."

I grinned and replied "Okay take your time."

Kaiya and I were both reading a book laying in my bed. She had a magazine and I had a book to be exact. I had one arm around her and she had her head on my shoulder. It was like a dream. She soon fell asleep in my arms. I turned off the lamp and fell asleep.

The next morning ~

Kaiya's P.O.V -

I woke up the next morning pretty early to the sound of the mailman slamming the mailbox closed. I quietly slumped out of bed and decided to go get the mail. I opened the front door and left it partly opened. I shivered as the morning breeze hit me. I opened the mailbox and sighed at the mail "Bills, Bills, Bills, a letter addressed to me"?!

I opened the letter and gasped. It was from my mom! It read...

"Dearest Kaiya, We miss you and we don't seem to understand why you won't answer our letters that we have sent. The fellow boy sent here is very sweet and I think you would like him. I do hope you are not getting into trouble because if you are then we will not allow you to do this again. Please answer us! I love you, Your mom.
P.S- I cannot wait for you to come home."

I held my head "What other letters"? More wind came in so I went inside. I reread the letter over and over again. She wanted me to come home but I didn't want to. I needed to find the other letters. I went into the box where Darry puts the letters and started scooping through them. On the box was a note that said "Reminder. Kaiya's letters are in the box in moms stand."

I put the box back and quietly crept into Darrys room. I headed over to the drawer stand in the front of room and quietly opened the drawer. There was only jewelry. I opened the 2nd drawer and saw the box. I opened the box and suddenly behind me I heard

"What are you doing"?
