"Hey I'm so sorry I didn't call or text you ever since, Alex really needed me around because he's kinda having a hard time with his mom and all. I'm really sorry and I promise I'll make it all up to you" sophie gave me a really tight hug before stepping inside my apartment
I closed the door and joined her in the living room "it's fine soph, you don't have to make anything up to me, and besides he's your boyfriend and he needs you right now so you have to be there for him"
"Thank you so much Mandy, you're a really good friend. I'm so glad I met you" she flashed me her award winning smile that never cease to melt my heart. If only she knew.
"Well how are things with his mother, I thought it was just some minor accident" I tried to brush away every other thought from my mind
"Umm he's really close with his mom, so any little thing just triggers him" she stood up and walked inside the kitchen and I followed behind
"So have you gone to visit her yet" I asked out of nowhere
"No. Alex told me that the doctor said
no one is allowed to see her for now"
She sat on the bar stool next to the kitchen island and I handed her a cup of hot chocolate, which she gladly accepted "but I thought his mom lived in the states" I pushed a bit further
She dropped her hot chocolate and swallowed the one in her mouth before answering "yeah, she just came here to do a few things. But how'd you know that his mom lives in Canada"
"You told me, don't you remember." I lied expertly, damn I'm really getting good at lying and it has to stop.
She tapped her fingers on her cup, probably trying to remember "oh, I guess this whole thing is kinda weighing on me. So what'd you do yesterday"
I was about to say nothing but I quickly remembered that a lot actually happened yesterday and as scary as it may sound, I literally have a boyfriend. "Well, a lot happened"
"Oooh..I'm in, tell me everything and don't you dare leave any damn thing out" she threatened
"Okayy-"
She gasped and covered her mouth with both her hands "you had sex with david didn't you, you little naughty bitch. I knew it was only a matter of time before you cracked. "So if you didn't have sex, then what exactly happened yesterday" she asked, looking interested in what I was gonna say next
I cleared my throat and bit my bottom lip as the whole event of yesterday started rushing in. "Well David asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes" I looked at her, trying to gauge her reaction even though I already know she's gonna be the happiest person on earth with the news I just provided her
