"Hey violet" I greeted my coworker/best friend as I walked into the fancy but cozy restaurant.
"Hey, have you heard from Jake" she walked up to me with a little frown on her face.
"No. What happened"
I have been working at the vine restaurant for about two years now and that's where I met violet, she's pretty with short jet black hair and blue captivating eyes.
I was a bit hesitant to get close to her at first, scared that if we ended up becoming friends I night ruin things. But after sometime I decided to give in and since then we've been really close.
She knows about what happened with me and Sophia but she didn't judge me like I expected her to. She just gave me a warm hug and told me that things happen for a reason.
A few months into our friendship, we met Jake at a bar and I guess we just sort of bonded. At first I thought the reason why he wanted to be friends was because he wanted to get violet, but turns out he's gay.
I personally found it crazy because he's drop dead gorgeous and if he wasn't gay he would've had all the girls in his grasp. There were even few occasions where some girls would beg him to have sex with them. Pathetic, I know. But what can I say, every girl wants a hot guy on their bed.
It's been three whole years since I moved to Manitoba and it wasn't easy at first because I missed my old apartment, I missed Sophie and I missed alex the most. But after several sleepless night and weeping I finally decided to step up.
I currently live in a two bedroom apartment with an amazing view of the city. It's nothing too extravagant, just perfect for me.
"I think Cole might have broken up with him, Because he called me yesterday and started telling me about how life's a bitch and when I asked him what happened he just said Cole's a dick and hung up. He sounded really drunk" she explained, bringing me out of my memory lane.
I furrowed my brows in confusion. "Have you maybe, tried calling again"
"Severally" she huffed out. "I have an idea, maybe we should take him clubbing with us tonight after our shift. I'm very sure it'll cheer him up a bit"
As much as I hate going clubbing, I know this will be a good way to cheer Jake up so I reluctantly agreed.

"But it's so uncomfortable" I scrunched my face in absolute discomfort.
She shrugged lightly as she applied lipstick on her plump lips. "Beauty is pain baby"
After about hundred times of calling, Jake finally answered and indeed Cole did break up with him, simply because his mom asked him to.
I mean, who the fuck does that. You can't just break up with someone because your mom asked you to. But hey, who am I to judge, I left Alex because I'm too scared to face the reality. I stopped myself before I could fully get into the memories of my past. I'm going to let loose and have fun tonight.
