chapter 4 ♥

"So how was your date yesterday" I asked Sophie as I walked into her apartment

"It was okay sorry I didn't inform you about I just got really exhausted afterwards so I slept" she said

"Hmm did you just say exhausted" I asked with a knowing smirk on my face

What??.. don't judge me. I know Sophie isn't the holiest person so I gotta ask and yea I'm also not very holy but I'm a proud virgin

"Whaaat don't look at me that way we didn't do anything" she said already blushing

"Not even a little kiss" I asked still having that smirk on my face

"Nope it was strictly pg 13" she said taking a sip of her coffee

"Hmm I see" I said still not fully believing her words. "So.." I continued do u think there will be a second date"

She sighed before speaking "I don't know..maybe..but my instincts tell me there might be a second date. I mean I'm not trying to push things but..I don't know I just see a future somewhere"

"Aww that's so nice" I said trying to sound convincingly happy

And yea I'm happy for her but it's not easy trying to suppress jealously you know.

it's just something that just keeps growing. But don't worry I won't let it get in the way of our friendship

I've been friends with Sophie for a very long time now and I can't just loose my friendship with her because of my stupid emotions..ugghh why is life so difficult

"So tell me" she began, bringing me out of my train of thought "when are you going to get yourself a handsome rich dude Amanda I mean we ain't getting any younger you know. My mom once told me that this is the perfect age to get married because that way we can have all the fun we want with our husband before looking forward to having kids"

"Okay I know I know but calm down alright. Marriage isn't something you just run into. It's a life time thing and we have to be wise when choosing our life partners because it's gonna be a long journey and you have to be fully prepared. It's not just all about the fun" I said in a calm voice so she could understand my point

"Okay that was a really great speech but can we please not talk about marriage right now because I feel like I'm thirty at the moment" she said with a disgusted look on her face

I chuckled lightly and got up from the kitchen and went into the living room to sit on her comfy couch

"So Mandy" she said using the Nick name she gave me as she joined me on the couch "what are we gonna do today"

"I don't know.. We could sit at home and sleep all day" I suggested

She looked at me like I'm crazy her mouth slightly opened and said "wow you're so lucky to have as a friend Mandy just imagine how boring your life would be without me"

I gasped and held my heart playfully "oh my god Sophie that was so mean"

"Yea I know" she said

"Hmm okay then" I said with a pout

"Okay I'm sorry it's just it's social suicide to sit your ass all day at home and just sleep" she said still looking at me like I'm insane

"Fine then bring a suggestion" I said looking at her

"We could go to the movies you know, I heard the movie just go with it is coming out today so why don't we go watch it" she asked with a raised brow

"Well okay what time is it" I asked already feeling the urge to go. I love watching movies but I prefer watching it alone In my laptop with my headset on..ahh I could never get tired of it

"Umm I think it's 7pm so we still have about one hour thirty minutes to get ready. So common let's get to work" she said in her usual cherry tone

I sighed and followed her to her room. After she picked out her outfit which was a white handless top and a short blue denim skirt, she then paired it up with her black knee length boot

We drove to my house so that I could change my clothes as well and I swear I really just wanted to go with what I was wearing

But classic Sophie was all "hell no Mandy you literally look like my grandma in those clothe you're wearing" so here we are at my house rummaging through my closet

"I think the red one looks better on you" she said pointing to the red hoodie on my bed

"You think so" I asked again just to be sure.

"Totally" she said giving me a thumbs up. "Now common go change we only have about forty five minutes left"

I walked into my closet and put on the red hoodie and my ripped jean along with my white sneakers. I looked at myself in the mirror one more time before I joined Sophie and we went to the mall

"Oh my god that was the best movie ever" Sophie squealed as we walked to a restaurant to get food

"Yea I'm not gonna lie that movie was indeed awesome and it was so funny I almost laughed my ass out" I said still having a wide grin on my face

The movie was really interesting and I wouldn't mind watching it over and over again

We got to the restaurant and we took a seat while Sophie signalled the waiter. She ordered burger and milkshake for herself and turned to ask me what I wanted. I wasn't that hungry so I just ordered a hot dog and a cup of coffee

"Okay beautiful ladies" the waiter said staring mainly at me if I'm not mistaking and said "your order will be down in a few minutes please seat tight". He winked at me giving me a slight smirk before walking back

I was literally stunned by his action. Don't get me wrong he's kinda cute but I don't know..he's just not really my type. I hope you understand what I mean

"Oooh someone got herself a little crush I see" Sophie said smirking at me

"No Sophie he doesn't like me so don't jump into conclusions yet. I'm pretty sure he flirts with most of his customers just to make them smile or something..I don't know but he's definitely not into me" I said trying to defend myself in every possible way

"You know sometimes I just keep wondering if you're gonna get married because you don't look like you'll ever spare a second glance at any guy who comes your way" she said in her high pitched voice that I dislike so much

Little does she know that I'm having a huge crush on her probably soon to be boyfriend that I don't even wanna look at any other guy.
