It's been two weeks since me and Sophie cleared things out and it's been great. We get to hang out more and it's been perfect.

"I like this one, it looks perfect for you. What do you think?" She held up a very short silver coloured playsuit.

We're at the mall shopping because Sophie said we needed new clothes and she feels like shopping. I on the other hand doesn't need new clothes but what other choice do I have.

I scrunched my face in disapproval of the dress. "I don't like it, it's way to shiny and honestly it's more of your style than mine"

"Yeah I know" she smiled brightly as she adored the playsuit. I wanted to ask why she asked me if I liked it when she wants it but I decided to let it go, knowing sophie, she's probably just gonna shrug it off and laugh. "You haven't really picked anything" she spoke after admiring the playsuit.

"Of course I have" I countered, showing her the two gowns I've picked so far. Like I said, I don't need new clothes.

She rolled her eyes and picked out a short green strapless gown that exposed way too much cleavage and threw it at me without a single word. I wanted to give it back to her and make my complaints but the glare she gave me immediately shut me up.

I collapsed in a heap on my bed after four traumatizing hours of shopping. Sophie just laid beside me with big smile on her face you'd think she just won a lottery.

"I'm never going shopping with you again" I breathed out

"It wasn't even that bad, you're just exaggerating" she smiled and I simply shook my head not finding the strength to argue.

"I've decided to get a job" I blurted out of the blue.

She looked confused for a while. "Why, are you low on money?"

"Not really, but the money my mom left behind won't last forever you know and I can't afford to go totally broke"

"I'm always here for you" she took my hand in her and squeezed softly, providing a bit of comfort.

I do miss my parents all the time even though I didn't get to spend much time with my dad and my mom was too busy working her ass off to really pay more attention to me, I knew she loved me deeply.

She was a manager in a very big hotel so we never really lacked anything. I was shocked to see the amount of money she had in her account when she passed away, I knew she was rich but not that much.

I was also able to sell off the house at a very decent amount. I know I should have kept the house but it just reminds me too much of her and it was too big for me to stay in, all by myself.

I also have an aunt who visits me from time to time and also sends me a good amount of money every end of the month even when I tell her I'm perfectly fine. She has a husband, Mark and two daughters. One's older and the other one is same age as me.

I was brought back to the present when sophie nudged me gently. "You hungry, I wanna order some Chinese"

I nodded eagerly at the mention of food and my stomach grumbled loudly, making sophie Snicker and I stuck my tongue out like a child.

After we had our meal, we watched some movies and when it got dark sophie had to leave. I took a shower and went to bed.

I was having breakfast when my phone dinged, indicating that someone texted me. I checked to see that it's Alex and a bright smile covered my face.
