Dear Diary,
Sorry I haven't written in a week. It's been a pretty dull week! Today was okay though.
This morning was lots of fun. Mae (my best friend) and I only have one class together, and it is gym. She is mostly homeschooled. She only comes to High School for Math and Gym.
This week we are doing volleyball. I love volleyball. Mae isn't that good, but it is still a lot of fun doing it with her! We only have one more week left of volleyball, and then it's Christmas holidays!
It's Thursday so I had Jazz Band today. It usually starts at 3:30, so we all just stay in the band room and fool around before then.
Well today was a lot better, and a lot worse then usually. At the beginning, before it started, Syd, Brooke (Mae and Syd's cousin) and I played around with the percussion equipment.
During the practice, Mr. Groon (the band director) came up to me, and asked me if I could to play the string bass instead of the baritone. I had gone into jazz band to play baritone, so I was kind of frustrated. But I said yes anyways.
Next practice I'm going to telling him I decided I do not want to play the string bass. For the past two years he has guilt tripped me into doing a lot of things, so it's time for me to stand up for myself.
Brooke had to leave early, so Syd and I skipped out, but we didn't go home. We stood at the other side of the school for the next half an hour and just talked. It was kind of awkward at first, but then after a little bit, it just felt natural. During that talk I found out that he is leaving to Arizona for an early Christmas present on Saturday. I can't believe he didn't tell me before today!
After we finished talking I went home. When I got home I had to make dinner. My mom and I tried out a new recipe. It was chicken enchilada soup! It tasted a lot like taco soup, but better. I found the recipe on Pinterest. I LOVE Pinterest!!
Good night Diary,
