My Not So Normal Life (Book 1)

Day 5

December 17, 2014
Dear Diary,
Today I had an orthodontist appointment in Lethbridge. I had to skip the first half of school. All I was missing was band, a movie in LA, and a stupid extra Math assignment. So I didn't really miss anything, and I won't have any homework!
Before my appointment started, my friend Becca texted me, and sent me a video of a new song we were given in band today. It sounded so horrible. The band played it fine, I just hated the song!
I forgot to mention that I have braces. I was suppose to get them off this February, but they changed it to April. I overheard them today saying that now it will be March! That makes me really happy!!
After the appointment, my mom, my three little brothers Will, David, and Scott, and I went Christmas shopping. I could not find anything for any one of my siblings. I only have eight days left to find nine presents, one for each of my family member! I'm kind of freaking out, but I will find presents somehow before Christmas!
This year for Christmas each member of my family is assigned someone to get a big present for. This year we are doing homemade gifts. I made beef jerky for my oldest brother Mark.
My second oldest brother Robert is coming home on Saturday, and he's transferring from BYU Provo to University of Lethbridge. He told me he will probably be able to come and help out with the band in Cardston sometime before I graduate!
My third oldest brother Donald has ten months left of his mission in California. He is learning a weird language on his mission. It's called Farsi. We were never really close, and I have been barely writing him. I need to start writing him every week! I miss him a lot more then I thought I would!
So Mike finally came to school today. He's still sick, but not stay at home sick.
After I got back to school, I walked into the seminary building, and they were just watching a movie. The only class we still do work in, is Social. But Mr. Ships is going to let us have a party on Friday! In social we watched a video that was super boring. During the whole video my friend Marie and I were texting the boys we like. When Mike saw us texting, he just rolled his eyes and smiled.
So today I had jazz band. I was worried at first that Brooke wasn't going to show, but she did. Funny this is, is she thought I wasn't going to show either.
Neither of us can really hit the high notes, so we just stand there laughing at ourselves for half the practice.
After Jazz band I went home and worked on finishing up my presents for my friends! I may have bought Syd like 6 chocolate bars, and a bag of Swedish berries! Tomorrow at lunch Brooke and I are going to his house, and putting them in his room.
Lynne told me earlier that she has me for Christmas this year, but my present won't be here in time. I wonder what she got me. I honestly have no idea!
I was texting Syd earlier, and he said they won't be back till 10 pm Saturday night. He asked me if I wanted to go over and watch a movie on Monday or Tuesday. I really hope I get to! I'm missing him more everyday! I can't wait to see him again.
The thing I'm mostly looking for for Christmas, is that this is Rob's first Christmas since being home from his mission. Almost everyone will be home for Christmas. I can't wait for next Christmas, because Donald is getting home, and my whole family will be together. It has been about 4 years since my whole family has been together!
