NINETY SEVEN years ago a nuclear apocalypse decimated planet Earth, destroying population completely. The Ark is dying and takes ruthless steps to ensure their future, including secretly exiling a group of 100 juvenile delinquents to the Earth's surface to test wether it's habitable.
For the first time in nearly a century humans have returned to Earth. And among the 100 exiles is Reyna Evans.
Before landing on the ground, she was ready to die, she thought she couldn't escape the fate awaiting her. But she was wrong. She's given a second chance, a chance to do better and be better. With her mind set on survival and keeping her friends and people alive, along her journey Reyna tries to redeem for her past. And after being alone for so long, she finally learns that there is something to live for.
But it wouldn't be as easy as she thought it would be.
Earth, the alien planet she's never known is a mysterious realm that can be magical one moment and lethal the next.
The band of disposable juvenile delinquents was sent to Earth only to discover that the human race never truly left. They face death on every turn, from a world transformed by the radiation, the fierce Grounders who somehow managed to survive in it and perhaps worst of all, from themselves.
The leaders are rivaled but they find a common purpose; survival.
And throughout it all Reyna grows close to a possible enemy Grounder - some might even say too close.
