A week had passed since Lexa brought Clarke into Polis. Both Reyna and Lexa tried to get through her but neither had luck. Clarke wasn't giving up, after being betrayed by Lexa at the Mountain and finding out Reyna had joined her even after that, she wouldn't let herself fall right back to them. She was not easy to persuade.

And just like every other morning she expected one of them to come and try to convince her, this morning it was Reyna. The girl walked into Clarke's room, her daggers within reach on her thighs. Clarke wondered if she would ever resort to using those lethal blades on her. Reyna's dark eyes sparkled under the morning sun, the fire inside them burning as she stared at Clarke.

At last, Clarke asked, "Is she going to let me go?"

"No." Reyna responded shortly and Clarke scoffed in disbelief, "Your mother will be here for the summit, it will be easier to try and convince Lexa then."

"So much for me not being a prisoner here." Clarke huffed rolling her eyes. She'd been in a prison before, the solitary on the Ark, where she was treated the same way as in this city. No permission to leave her room, no weapons, she had nothing.

"In my opinion there are worse cells than this." Reyna glanced around the spacious room Clarke had, "On the Ark you had even less."

Clarke had to admit the room was beautiful. It was a lofty room with a magnificent carved ceiling, and with a carpet over the floor, so thick and soft that it felt like piles of velvet under her feet. The room was bright, the floor-to-ceiling let in the bright sunlight, and during the night the silver light of the moon illuminated the space. By one of the windows a smaller table was situated, on it various breakfast meals scattered. Clarke had never had never been given a room like this, a real bed and her own space. And she enjoyed this room, despite it being given to her by the person she hated.

"Did she send you here?" Clarke stepped closer to Reyna trying to intimidate her but Reyna almost let out a laugh, "Maybe she thought that I would listen to her if you asked me nicely enough."

"I'm not here to ask nicely, Clarke." Reyna shook her head, "The decision you make has nothing to do with me." She sighed, "I see that you're angry and I understand why."

"Why did you join her?" Clarke ignored her sentence. She'd been wondering about it ever since she'd been told Reyna had joined Lexa again. The question lingered on her mind and she had a number of possible answers, but she wanted to hear true reason of it, "She told me that you bowed before her. Why?"
