The door of Lexa's balcony was open, letting the fresh air in. Reyna was sitting on one of the chairs with a book in her hands. The book she was reading was called the Iliad. She remembered Octavia talking about how Bellamy used to read the same book to her and Reyna wanted to read it herself.

Lexa was sleeping peacefully on the couch. Reyna flipped the page of the book just as Lexa jerked awake with a gasp and Reyna dropped the book before she sat nex to her on the couch, wrapping her arms around tightly the Commander, trying to calm her down.

"It's okay, you're okay." She whispered with a calming voice and she could hear Lexa's breathing slow down. "Are you having nightmares again?"

"I told you that these aren't nightmares, Reyna." Lexa spoke. "The Commanders speak to me in my dreams. I saw their deaths at war, at the hands of an assassin."

"What does it mean?" Reyna furrowed her eyebrows in confusion and faced Lexa, meeting her eyes.

"It's a warning. They think I'm betraying their legacy. Jus drein jus daun has always, always been the way of our people." Lexa replied.

"I know that it is, and I know that I believe in blood must have blood but what you did on that battlefield stopped a war." Reyna spoke. "Your legacy will be peace."

Lexa looked at Reyna with a loving smile before Reyna captured their lips together. It was slow and soft, comforting and relaxing. Reyna's hand rested low near Lexa's ear, her thumb caressing Lexa's cheek.

Lexa ran her fingers down Reyna's spine, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them and she could feel the beat of Reyna's heart against her chest.

When they pulled away they stared deeply into each other's eyes but both of them flinched when they heard a knock on the door.

Reyna quickly stood up and grabbed the book she was reading and returned it to its place on the shelf.

"Enter." Lexa called and the door of her room opened revealing Titus and two guards who were carrying a huge box.

Reyna stepped away from the bookshelf with her eyebrows furrowed and her eyes scanning the box curiously.

"Pardon me, Heda." Titus spoke and shifted stare to Reyna. "I didn't realize you were busy."

Lexa focused her eyes on the box which was now placed on the floor. "Are you going to tell me what's in the box or not?"

"Forgive me." Titus apologized. "This is a gift from King Roan of Azgeda for Wanheda. The messenger said this is both proof of Azgeda's loyalty to the coalition and an answer to a yet unanswered question."
