Luca's eyes brightened, a new glint of amusement appearing instead of the anger that was apparent only moments ago. I chewed my lip nervously, starting to regret what I had just done. I needed to play this smart.

Luca's eyes flicked down to mine, his bright orbs sucking up all of my panic and fear. "Nervous?"

I shook my head and gritted my teeth, replacing the fear with adrenaline. Luca's smile widened and he pushed himself off the wall, taking a few steps away from me and gesturing his long arms towards the doors. I looked quickly at them before looking back at him.

He had started removing his suit jacket and unbuttoning the collar of his dress shirt. I noticed him roll up his sleeves and cast his tie onto his desk. I hadn't noticed just how messy his office was until now. It looked like a tornado had ripped through here.

"Well, are you going to get going, or are you going to keep standing there?" Luca took a swig of his brandy, roughly placing the empty glass back onto this desk.

I immediately took off down the hallway as fast as my legs would move. I heard the faint chuckle that erupted out of Luca's throat, but choose to ignore it. I bolted down the stairs and tried to remember just how to get out of here. I let out a slew of curse words, remembering that I was unconscious when I was brought here.

I hoped down the last two stairs and skidded across the marble floor. I realized I hadn't been wearing any shoes and this run was going to be extremely painful on my feet. I debated on looking for a pair of shoes, but decided to stick with my socks.

I ran into the dining room, finding the same table I had seen earlier. A few maids were cleaning around the house, but I bolted by them. Luca better not have lied about nobody interfering. I shook my head and focused my attention on finding a front door, or any exit.

I scrambled through the kitchen, muttering a few sorry's to the maids I had almost ran into during my sprint.

I rounded a corner while exiting the kitchen, my heart filled with joy when I saw a very large open space and two large double doors. I pumped my legs towards the door and swung it open. I was hit by the smell of fresh air, and my arms pricked with goosebumps.

I took off down the long set of stairs, cursing Luca for having such a large house to keep me in.

I quickly scanned my surroundings, noticing a tennis court to my left, and a garage to my right. I turned my body forward and noticed a large forest. Immediately I booked it over there, deciding that it would give me the most cover and possibly may lead to a road.

Sharp rocks and pebbles dug into the soft pads of my feet as I bolted across the driveway. I hopped over the last few bricks of the driveway and finally reached the grass. It felt a lot better on my feet, but not for much longer.

As I neared the forest, more twigs and rocks dug into my feet. I felt myself wince, but I continued at my sprinting pace.

I felt my lungs start to burn, and my throat began to ache. I pushed on through the dense forest, demanding my body to not stop for anything. I wasn't about to get caught just because I was a little out of shape. Okay, well a lot.

I ducked low underneath a fallen over log, feeling the branches from the trees cut into my face and arms. I raised my hands up in defence and fought my way through the thickness of the bush, letting out a deep sigh when I notice it finally open up.

I felt my legs grow numb and start to wobble. I knelt down and removed my socks, noticing that they were bleeding all over. I frowned and reach for some dead leaves beside me. I stuffed them into my socks, and put them back on.
