My body was suddenly flung over Tyler's back and I felt the wind escape my lungs in a sudden rush. My mouth hung open in shock and I gasped for more air that didn't seem to want to come. I immediately started banging against Tyler's back and let out a slew of curse words at him.
I tugged, banged, and kicked at him- but nothing seemed to work.
"Tyler, put me down right now!" I sent a punch into his back, but couldn't apply as much force as I wanted to since I was over his shoulder and hanging upside down.
"No, and stop punching me or I'll throw you down these stairs." I felt my body drop slightly as he began descending down the stairs.
I let out a huff of annoyance and stopped my struggling. He probably wouldn't throw me down the stairs, but if I made him fall, he would end up landing on me and crushing me. That wasn't exactly how I wanted to die. Crushed by an Italian douchebag.
"I need to talk to her... I have to explain..." I muttered slowly and let my body slump into his grasp.
"She's not in the right state to talk about that stuff right now, Em. Just leave it be for a bit, she'll come around." He tried to reassure me, but I felt even worse. She was in that state because of me. And now I was getting all buddy buddy with Luca. The man who caused all of this.
A tear slipped out of my eye and trailed backwards towards my forehead.
"Take me to Luca, please." I whispered weakly as Tyler approached the same door that we had entered through.
"He's in a business meeting right now, I'm not going to be the one who disturbs him and makes him angry." Tyler replied back and put me back onto the ground. I swayed slightly and grabbed onto his arm to steady myself.
He gave me a quick glance, "Then tell him it was me." I began walking forward, pulling open the door and stepping out into the long hallway.
The man beside the door looked over at me and stood up suddenly. His large frame blocked my path, as well as the light from the hall.
I strained my head to look up at him and let out a silent growl, "Move it, meat head." I hissed and tried to move by him but his hand caught my wrist like a vice.
"Non parlarmi così, ragazza." He let out a throaty groan and narrowed his beady eyes onto my smaller frame. His free hand was raised up as if he was about to hit me, but I didn't flinch. (Don't talk to me like that, wench).
I felt Tyler step beside me and look over at the man, "Non lo farei, Ralph. Luca ti tagliera la mano se la toochi." I could only assumed Tyler came to my defence. (I wouldn't do that, Ralph. Luca will kill you if you even touch her).
The claws released my wrist and he dropped his raised hand to his side. I looked over to Tyler, who had his face in a blank state. While the man's face dropped suddenly and he stepped away from us, planting himself back onto the chair.
"Asshole." I muttered as I felt Tyler's hand touch the small of my back and lead me away from the fuming man.
"Can you not piss someone off for twenty-four hours? Or is it impossible for you?" He asked as we walked down the hall, his eyes focused on the path in front of us.
"Could you not be an asshole all the time?" I asked and batted my eyelashes at him.
He glanced at me from the corner of his eye but didn't respond to me. I was feeling angry and hurt, I didn't know what to do anymore. I felt horrible about Julie, but at the same time I was angry. When I was angry, I couldn't control my mouth.
Tyler removed his hand from my back once we reached my room. I stood in front of the doorway and hesitated, not wanting to go in. He pushed open the door and turned back towards me, raising his eyebrows in question.
