Kurapika ran through the dense forest, trying to locate the source of the smoke. The sun had nearly gone down, and he guessed somebody must have started a fire. There wasn't a whole ton of height, so he assumed that an applicant had tried to make a small fire as not to attract any unwanted company, but failed.

The blonde was determined to get to whoever it was as soon as possible and steal their tag.

He arrived at the edge of a clearing, but it wasn't what he expected to see. There was some creature with something on it's back, and smoke was billowing around it. It was kind of small, and was fighting another applicant. The man was losing- bad- but he wouldn't give up. When Kurapika looked closer, he was chilled to the bone. Were there magical beasts on this island?

A true monster of the imagination, with scales of all patterns and shapes. Like one you would see in a nightmare. It had a human figure, but it was. . . Different. The thing on it's back was a pair of wings, bright red and propelling the figure two feet in the air. Colored with dark undertones, it's physique seemed to almost glow in the dusk light. Kurapika had never seen anything like it.

The blonde was scared when he first saw it, but true horror clouded his mind when it turned and faced him.  He saw that it was a girl, with short brown hair that was matted with blood. Kurapika immediately recognized her, the girl that he'd peaceful sat next to and read with in the Third Phase, the slept next to on the airship.

Two.

Two made eye contact with Kurapika, and he noticed something different about her. Her right eye was a bright scarlet color, but her left eye. . . Seemed to be moving. The colored specks in her eyes whizzed around, making it seem like it dancing. But, when she saw Kurapika, her eyes softened, and her expression changed. Her right eye went back to normal, and her left halted. She looked down at her bloodied, scaly hands, and briefly glanced at the man she was fighting. "Kurapika. . ."  She looked at him with sad, broken eyes. Kurapika didn't know how to respond.

Two looked away when the man lunged at her again and had to dodge the clumsy attack. Two's eyes flashed again and she looked at the man in great anger.

Kurapika watched in horror as Two flew higher, pointing accusingly at the red-head. She muttered a few more words, which left Kurapika both confused and terrified.

"My name is Hyacinth Hirokama, and I will be your end."  Kurapika turned and ran when Two opened her mouth and sparks started flying out, unwilling to see what happened in the end.

Faster, faster, until he was at the completely opposite end of the island. What just happened? The immense feeling of panic and confusion filled him, and he didn't know what to think. Her eye. . . Turned scarlet. Why? She couldn't be a Kurta. Not only were they all massacred, but Kurapika didn't remember seeing her around the village.

The fear of her shape-shifting act slowly decreased, and the blonde became more focused on her eyes. How could her eyes turn scarlet? And in her other eye, the specks were moving. It seemed impossible, but it happened.

Kurapika slumped a nearby tree. His mind raced with questions, and he hadn't the slightest clue how to answer them. Then, he remembered something that she had said during the battle.

Her name. Wasn't it Two?

Hyacinth?

Hyacinth. . . Hirokama?
