The sun had finally set and Two continued to walk around. She had stopped crying, and bleeding. Her skin had gone back to normal, but she was still covered in the sticky red substance. Her eyes were red and puffy as an effect of the crying, but overall, she looked okay. Just. . . Bloody.
in the distance, she could hear the faint sound of gagging, then splattering, repeatedly. It sounded like choking- no, retching. Two tried to pinpoint the location of the noise and followed the sound for a few seconds. She ended up at the base of a tree, where the inside was hollow. Someone was in there. The tone sounded kind of familiar to Two, and curiosity got the best of her.
She blindly peeked into the tree, and she saw a green-haired boy supporting himself by leaning against the tree, hunched over and throwing up.
"Gon?" she asked, not completely sure whether it was him or not. The boy shakily turned his head, and Two was met with tear-filled honey eyes. It was Gon
"T-Two?" Gon turned his head and started to retch again. She hoped Kurapika didn't tell him yet, for his sake.
"Gon, what happened?!" Two was extremely worried, and her first instinct was to help. The poor thing in front of her was suffering!
"I- I- I go- got hit with- with a poison dart, and-" He started to throw up again, and Two couldn't handle it.
She did her best to drag him out of the niche without toug]ching the vomit, and pulled him to the lake, where she cleaned him up the best he could.
"Hey, Two, what are you doing? I- I can do it myself, don't worry about me." Gon spoke uneasily. Two pulled the cloth that Kurapika had given her off her hands and soaked it in the water. She gently cleaned his mouth and face, and spot-cleaned any mess on his clothes.
"I'm helping. Let me do that, okay? Don't worry." She gave him a faint smile. She hasn't done that in a few days. "My name is Hyacinth, not Two. You should call me that."
"H- Hyacinth?" Gon asked. She nodded, and Gon started retching again. Hyacinth felt immensely sorry for him, and in all honesty, she was mad.
"Gon, who did this to you?" Hyacinth asked a second after he stopped. He attempted to wipe his mouth, but he couldn't since he was paralyzed, so Hyacinth did it for him.
"Hisoka- Hisoka got him."
Hyacinth was confused. "Hisoka did it?" Her voice was laced with anger. "Or did Hisoka kill the person who did it?"
"Hisoka killed him." Now she was angry she couldn't kill the offender herself.
"Why did he do that?" Hyacinth could see Gon start to cry again.
"He- he. . ." Gon started to puke again, but after that, he told her the whole story. He vomited a bunch in between, but by the end, there was nothing left to vomit. Gon looked up at the shocked brunette.
"Hyacinth, it's not fair! I don't want to owe him, it's not fair!" He cried next to her, openly showing his weak state. He already thought of her as a friend. Hyacinth tried her best to make some comforting gestures.
"Gon, you'll punch him back, and then you won't owe him anything, okay?" The pair locked eyes. "You're strong. It won't be today, but eventually, you will."
Her voice was quiet and soothing. "Really?" Gon hiccuped. Hyacinth nodded in reassurance, with no doubt in her mind that Gon would punch him back. "O- okay."
Eventually, the exhaustion took over and Gon fell asleep, slumping onto the ground. Hyacinth picked him up and found a clean niche to put him in, and gently set him down. She went to the outside and leaned against the tree, as if she was a mother keeping watch over her child.
Hyacinth tried to sleep, as it was already late, but she couldn't help but mentally play through what just occurred. She didn't really realize it, but she had the tendency to help anyone that was in need. 'Anyone' being someone who had previously been nice to her. Even if she knew they were going to leave in the end, not helping was a foreign concept.
She couldn't help but ponder what Gon would think once Kurapika told him. He seemed like a friendly and open person. "Maybe he'll still be grateful," Hyacinth muttered. "Or maybe he'll be disgusted that someone like me helped him."

Four bonds have been forged, but of those four, how many will survive? With Kurapika misplaced and in the position to tell the others, it's truly a mystery.

okay so first- in every hunter x hunter fic I see, none of the OC's or Reader's ever see or help Gon when he's literally suffering and paralyzed and retching all over the place so I'm here like 'lets express the OC's nature more clearly and also take care of our child Gon'
next; yes, hyacinth is her name and henceforth will be referred to as so. does the flower theme make more sense now? ^3^ I put hyacinth as the first chapter title as kind of a subtle clue tee hee
