Every second the woman was freed was now of the upmost importance.

By now the harsh throbbing in her skull from head-slamming the criminal had eased into a dull pain. She just hoped to herself that she didn't have a concussion. Swiftly and surely (Y/N) searched her unconscious kidnapper for anything useful to aid in her escape. Digging her hands in his coat and trouser pockets, the woman nearly wept in relief when she caught the black concealed carry holster underneath the man's waistband.

Fumbling to open the pouch the hero now held a cold heavy pistol in her small hands.

(Y/N) gulped, looking at the weapon with uneasy respect. This was a tool that can really damage a person, but she needed an extra form of protection if she was going to wander through an unfamiliar building with who knows waiting around every corner. With no way of knowing if she could use her quirk in this situation, she had to think of other options for her safety.

She wasn't too familiar with guns and other man-made weaponry as her skills in fighting had proved useful enough for her in the past. Her strategy as a defense hero with long distance attack styles meant going head to head with a villain wasn't her strong suit. This also was due to her being able to create her own projectile weapons through the power of her quirk.

As an American born hero however, it was highly recommended for new pros to first learn the basics on gun control and usage, so she knew how to handle and fire one. The danger with guns was higher for the heroes in America as those types of weapons were readily available to the public and their criminals.

With the heavy controversy regarding the issue in the states, many hero groups were divided on the topic just as most American's were. (Y/N) herself didn't care for the debate regarding the problem so she opted into not having it in her arsenal of tools when fighting villains at all.

She didn't belief it was needed in her line of work anyway. That is, any other hero but Snipe.

From what she knew, this pistol was obviously smuggled illegally with her awareness of Japan's strict ban on handguns.

The woman stood up straight after she searched the man, keeping two hands on the weapon and having it lowered at all times. (Y/N) quickly pulled the charging handle located at the top of the gun to reveal a fully loaded magazine. The sight made her nerves heighten as she wondered what would have become of her if that man pulled the weapon on her. (Y/N's) finger wouldn't dare touch the trigger, the only exception being if it was absolutely necessary.

She'd much rather have found a phone on him so she could call Toshinori or the police, but what she found would have to do for now.

Peeking a timid head out the open door, (Y/N) found the room she had awoken to opened up to extended plain white corridor with minuscule decorations hanging on its wall.

Gathering all her courage the small woman exited her temporary safe house, ducking under the windows of other rooms to lower the risk of her being spotted by someone. Keeping her body close and crouched against the wall with the pistol ready in hand, (Y/N) carefully trekked forward to find her escape route.

It was obvious that none of the other rooms had windows to show the outside, so it was plausible that she was located somewhere underground. The (h/c) haired woman tried not the let the anxiousness of that thought overcome her as she carefully passed a door with yellow light illuminating under it.

She slowed significantly, straining her ears to listen in on whatever was going on inside for a brief moment.

The voices were loud but muffled, some laughing erupting occasionally. Nothing of much importance to the hero. Besides this, she wouldn't want to stick around any longer for them to come upon her.
