Harsh blowing wind and Banshee's ear-splitting scream clouded the hero's vision as she was flung back into a row small shops down the street connecting to a T-intersection in one of the busiest places in the city. She had been thrown all the way across the entire stretch of street like a weightless dummy.

Somehow by sheer luck, the villain's blast sent Mighty Marina crashing through the large double doors of a children's toy store exactly on the mark and had missed the supporting beams and cement foundation of the actual structure. If her body had been just mere inches off from where she landing she surely would've collided straight to the steel supports and brick covering the entire building sending her immediately out of commission.

The worst?

Her life.

Her body did however break through two strong oak doors that split into jagged pointy halves when Mighty Marina's form collided with the surface. She toppled into the empty store with a loud bang that was followed by the sharp continuous ringing of security sirens.

The hero tumbled on the ground and felt her back slam against one of the shelves that was filled to the brim with a variety of children's toys, books, and games.

The woman whimpered in pain as she curled into herself in a ball, her whole form throbbing in agony. All her limbs felt weak as she managed to prop her upper body up with shaky limbs, every exposed part of her skin now littered with small lacerations and splinters from crashing straight through the wooden doors.

Her ears ached and she could only vaguely notice the sensation of warm liquid dribbling down the two concha openings that led to her eardrums. All she could hear was loud pitched ringing surrounding her brain and the muffled sound of her own breathing and the siren that was ringing from the store's security system.

It took a few moments to overcome the shock in her system from being sent back dozens of feet away in mere seconds from Banshee's attack, as well as handle the hurt gnawing mercilessly on her small frame. It was a benumbed feeling that briefly took over her senses, as if the force of the assault had been so unexpected and strong it knocked all the feeling and thought out of her.

With her body slowly moving on its own, Mighty Marina felt her muscles within her pump energy through her tired wobbly legs. Her heart still raced a mile a minute with adrenaline though her brain wasn't entirely with her yet as she attempted to rise to her feet.

She only collapsed down to the floor again, it's surface trashed with the scattered remains of broken door fragments and some shattered glass that had also broken from the vibrations of the impact. The hero's entire body trembled as she tried to bring herself back up again.

No.

It can't end this way.

Her life was just getting started.

(Y/N) didn't want to be dramatic and she didn't want to come off as a clingy person, but she was certain of the fact that she had not known her own personal happiness since moving to Japan and meeting Toshinori.
