"So we'll schedule another appointment in two to three weeks, as usual?"
Dr. Sato, the grandfather of pro hero Rikido Sato, the Sweet Hero, as well as Toshinori's therapist smiled at him kindly.
The two men were just finishing up with a regular session at the behavioral and mental health facility with always progressing progress. The retired man's visits to the office were much less frequent than when he first started working with the doctor because of his improvements with using cognitive thinking during stressful and trying situations. Toshinori also learned to actively realize when he was falling into a panic or anxious episode with a list of steps and safety measures to keep him as level headed as possible during his bouts.
What was impressive to the doctor was the blonde's consistent climb to his improvement with just therapy, as many of his other patients were on a med/therapy mix while the man was holding fantastic progress with just the one. Toshinori was attentive and understanding, taking in the doctors words like a young school boy excitedly learning a new lesson. He was also so determined in himself to get better while retired to make up for the many years he spent neglecting himself from his needs and health for the safety and well being of the citizens.
The tall lanky man nodded to the other man, smiling with straight teeth as he raised his hand. His gold wedding band formed a bright glint from the overhead light near the reception desk they stood by, making his doctor smile. After hearing of the man's engagement and marriage which had been already half a year ago, for some weeks after the actual wedding he would gently tease is patient over not inviting him to the ceremony as well.
From what Toshinori was sharing about his life as a married man, it was clear he wasn't complaining, and his symptoms of his mental health issues were much, much less than they were previously.
"Definitely. I'll see you then Dr. Sato." the man said as he signed himself out of the clinic and politely took a small business card that had the date of his next appointment from the young receptionist at the desk.
Toshinori was very eager to return home after a long day at work with his young students and his session with Dr. Sato to see his wife who had stayed home. That morning (Y/N) had fallen sick right before they were both due to leave, at one point being completely fine before she suddenly dashed off to the restroom and get sick in the toilet.
The man was quick to drop everything as he followed urgently to her side, urging her to change out of her work clothes and to rest in bed while he went to work for the both of them.
(Y/N's) sudden unexplained sickness caused Toshinori to be late for work but he didn't care, making sure his wife was as comfortable as possible before he even thought to leave.
It hurt his heart seeing the woman in such a sickly state, her soft looking skin now taking on a slightly duller hue and her limbs trembling in his hands as he eased her back in bed and in comfortable clothing. He did his best as a makeshift nurse for the time being, grabbing her hydrating drinks and leaving behind light easily digestible foods near her which were abundant in their house because of Toshinori's own condition. The blonde man was about to call off of work himself to completely focus his day on caring for the woman but (Y/N) firmly disagreed with his idea, claiming she would be fine while he was gone and still fine when he returned home. So very reluctantly the man set off for work, "ordering" the woman to stay in bed unless she absolutely, necessarily needed to get up for something important.
Toshinori felt an extra pep in his step as he was nearing his shared home with (Y/N) after an excruciatingly slow train ride from the therapists office. Ironic, as all the trains in Japan were notoriously known for being proficiently fast.
