Like many things about his life even with the exhilaration of now being an engaged man, very close to a married one, Toshinori too had to keep this fact on the down low with only a few souls knowing of its existence.

After (Y/N) had officially said yes to his proposal, mere mention of their growing ties hadn't been brought up until after a couple of months had passed. This was when the woman confided to her dear friend and coworker Nemuri for advice on wedding ideas. It wasn't as if the woman assumed the R-rated hero had a knack for such things but she was the closest friend she had in Japan who could give her an opinion. Even when she reluctantly swore secrecy to the soon-to-be bride more and more people began to find out as the happy couple continued their plans.

Some of the people who knew included trusted close friends from high school and extended schooling almost immediately after she'd been asked. Toshinori got a kick over seeing the woman excitedly video calling her ecstatic friends to whom some were already married themselves. (Y/N) of course told the news to her parents who had already known of the engagement because of Toshinori and they were overjoyed that their daughter had chosen such a wonderful man to be with for the rest of her life.

Other than these select few, not much people knew until invitations were sent out to a small intimate ceremony and reception set for sometime in the winter to hopefully reach the snow. Both Toshinori and (Y/N) had opted for a humble gathering with only the closest people they knew in attendance, which at first surprised the blonde man. For his fiancée at the least, he knew her family on both sides were very big as she had once mentioned before to him.

Even with that, she still wanted to make the wedding small?

Her reasoning when he'd asked her, was that as a hero, retired or not, sacrifices were always made for the greater good. With the word "hero" being forever planted onto their identities, being safe was always the better option and the woman was apparently fine with it. Even still with her claims, the retired man couldn't help but smile at his future wife when he saw that peculiar look flash through her expression when he would bring it up to her.

Toshinori's biological parents had long since left this earth, and he hadn't attempted to contact them years before they passed due to his strained relationship with them. With his extended family, the most interaction he had had with them was when he was a young boy, and even in that regard it was rare. In a way he felt she was also making it small just for him and his comfort, reiterating the fact that she loved him so much.

With Nemuri's help as their makeshift wedding planner, decisions for how things were to go about were done in a smoother manner than if (Y/N) was simply doing the work with just Toshinori, poor thing, who had no talent whatsoever in this department. There had been talk about simply going to the beach to marry or to elope without any further issue but (Y/N) felt she owed it to her parents this much to send her off with a very nice and sweet adieu from being an unmarried woman. Toshinori agreed as much, in this sense holding a very traditional respect to his elders and future in-laws. He didn't mind whether they married at a church or on the beach or even on a hill. He knew it would all feel right as he saw her walking down the isle toward him, smiling big and beautiful like she did.

As for the retired woman's aging parents, they never thought that they would be handing off their daughter to the Symbol of Peace, the number one hero of Japan. There was no complaints however, as Toshinori found that just like (Y/N) her parents were open, welcoming, and kind. They didn't care if he wasn't big and muscular anymore, finding more importance to the fact that he was still a good man and would be a wonderful husband to her. They already loved him when they got to see him through video chats or hear him on phone calls. Seeing (Y/N) so happy with the blonde felt reassuring and it was one of the reasons why the older couple was so pleased to see Toshinori's desire to marry her.
