Sophias POV

It had been a week since the day at the bar with Serena. The blonde had been invading my thoughts nonstop and controlling myself around her was becoming increasingly difficult.

It was currently the end of second period and I had mixed feelings about seeing Serena walk into my class. On one hand, I always wanted to see the younger beauty, but on the other, I didn't want to deal with my conflicting feelings about her.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the bell signaling the end of class and I realized I would be forced to face her whether I liked it or not.

I took my place at the door and played with my nails anxiously, smiling at students as they entered. Just when I thought I couldn't get any more nervous, Serena rounded the corner and I sucked in a breath. Her eyes locked with mine and I swore she was giving me a look like she was trying to figure me out.

She stopped in front of me and our eyes were still focused on one another. "Ms.Ryan" she spoke in an assertive tone. "Ms.Maldonado" I replied in the same manner. She walked in the and I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding.

I focused myself and headed into the class shutting the door behind me. When I reached the podium everyone stopped talking and looked at me waiting to start the lecture. I began my slides stealing glances at Serena every so often.

I was mid-sentence when my train of thought was interrupted. I redirected my attention to Serena and saw her and Julianna lost in conversation. I felt anger rise in the pit of my stomach and for a second, I almost thought I was jealous.

"Serena and Julianna is there something you would like to share with the class?" annoyance evident in my tone. I watched as Serena looked up at me and Julianna just rolled her eyes. "No ma'am I don't believe so" Serena replied in her smart ass way.

"Then I suggest you save your conversation for after class" I turned back to the board then preparing to continue my notes when I heard Julianna mumble something under her breath.

"Jeez S I didn't know your girlfriend was gonna bite my head off" causing Serena to let out a soft chuckle. I whipped my head back around.

"What was that Ms.Jarroz?" I was now furious and Julianna looked a little intimidated at the tone of my voice.

"You know what, get out of my class" I deadpanned having enough of this girl. Serena looked at me in shock along with the rest of the class.

"That's a little much" I heard Serena pipe in.

"Feel free to join her Ms. Maldonado," I said still glaring at Julianna.

Serena started laughing and that's when I lost it. "Enough, Julianna get out, Serena in the hall now" I watched as both girls got up from their seats, and Serena had her bag over one shoulder as if she was leaving. I followed them to the hall and as soon as Julianna was out of hearing range, I turned to Serena.

"What the fuck is your problem" I barked out. She looked at me clearly pissed off. "My problem! What's your problem! You didn't need to be such a bitch about us talking" she shouted back. "Maybe you shouldn't be flirting with your girlfriend in the middle of my class!" I barked back immediately realizing I didn't mean to sound so bothered by it. I stared at the floor refusing to look at her.

"Is that what this is about? You're jealous of Julianna" Serena laughed in a sarcastic tone. I shot my eyes back up to hers. "Don't get ahead of yourself Maldonado I never said that"

"Well, that's definitely what it sounds like Ms.Ryan" somehow the way she said my name like that stung me. I didn't want her to think she was just any other student to me because that wasn't the case. "Ya know not everyone's obsessed with you despite what you may think," I said a lot harsher than I intended and my face softened as I realized what I had just said.
